I purchased this sound-bar as a gift for myself for Christmas. I really love it. I didn’t expect it to sound this good for what I paid for it. The bass is amazing and the volume is really good. I think it’s a great sound bar for the price. It sounds like a real expensive sound bar.

For the price, this is a solid little unit. It is a garage playroom system for my kids (12 and 15) and it fills the 'room'. Great for gaming and the bluetooth makes for a nice stereo system when they just want to jam! I like that you can adjust the subwoofer with the remote so you can tweak it depending on what you are listening to. I would totally buy it again. Now, for an audiophile, this is not your system. But for my needs it's perfect.

Looks: The looks are sleek and attractive. Also look really similar to other popular brands. Best fits under a 45" TV. The plastic feels and little cheap. Install: Literally just plug in and start using with most all TVS. Sound: the Sound quality is wear the 3 stars come in. Not horrible but you don't get the highs and lows as well as you hear the mid range volume. Great for regular tv watching but sports and movies may have you feeling like you're missing a little.

We purchased this set to go with our new tv and initially I thought it would be so so. I was so wrong. The sound is superb. I like a bit of bass and the sub gives off a great bass sound but not overwhelming. Connecting it was easy. We chose to option to have it wired straight to the tv and I purchased a good set of cables to do so. Haven't had a single issue with it.

This soundbar isnt one you get for a living room or because you love booming bass or clear sound. Its a budget soundbar for a reason. BUT it is a GOOD budget soundbar. Ive spent $20 less and got soundbars with speakers worse than my TV. The main soundbar has sound quality that is similar to better TV speakers but just louder and a slightly more full sound. The sub works if it is cranked up and accompanies the bar nicely but it doesnt get super loud or booming. Its good for casual movies, games, and TV. Id suggest putting the sub next to where you are sitting, not close to the TV to get the most out of it. Now for a few issues I have - After about two weeks of owning it the sub seems to lose sync with the bar for about 1 second randomly. I dont know why its randomly doing it now, but it could be something ive done. I have a baby monitor near it now and it might be causing the interference and not actually the subs fault. The bar has no screen or any way to tell what you are doing besides the light on the front. To test volume you just have to listen closely to hear the changes. Also, the ramping on the volume controls is bad. You have to hit volume up multiple times to even hear a difference. All in all its a really good buy for $70. Id never buy it full price though. If you want more sound and better quality, go for the Vizio pair that is double this price. But once again for $70 this soundbar pair is a really good value.

Is your T.V. volume not up to par?

Back in the day you could get a T.V. that had decent to good volume. But today it seems that a lot of T.V. manufacturers don't pay that much attention to the volume and sound. The last two T.V.s I have bought has poor sound and volume. I had to turn the volume all the way to maxiume level of 98 and still it wasn't enough to enjoy the sound. But since I bought this Insignia 2.1 Channel 80 Watt Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer, my volume, sound, and bass are extremely enhanced. I now listen to my volume on a mere 20 to 30 level. If your looking for hundreds of watts this is not for you. But if your looking for a nice sound with a nice size of wattage and plenty of bass to upgrade your T.V.'s sound at a very affordable price, then I recommend you check this system out first. Super easy to install and setup was only two minutes for me.

Get sounding speaker with super easy install. Sub woofer is hard to hear but it does work, think super low bass. Its worth the money. Only problem is that it turns off automatically when its idle (when tv is off) but you have to turn it back on every time. So when you watch tv you have to turn on the TV then turn on the speaker. But it comes with a remote so it's not that bad, just a nuisance.

The soundbar was easy to unpack and set-up. It looks and sounds very good for a compact system. It has plenty of volume for a reasonably sized room and the bass is clean. Sale price made it an even better value.

This is a very good audio system for a small room. I love the wireless sub-woofer capability as you can place it anywhere you want. The blue-tooth works pretty well too. If you looking to improve your TV sound this is it. Again, it is not very powerful but good enough for a small room and very small foot print without having to run cables erverywhere.

I got this soundbar with a TCL Android TV. It was on sale at Christmas. It's okay--the price was great and the sound is good. I wish it had more options; currently you can choose Standard, Theater, or News. You can increase or decrease the bass, pair it with Bluetooth (so it will work with phones, etc.), optical cable, or aux cable. I don't like that it seems to shut itself off sometimes (when I want it on) and other times it stays on (when I want it off). It would be better if you could control the sound with the TV remote while connected using the optical cable, like you can with the aux cable connected. Unfortunately, that's not the case and it seems like I'm always looking for the remote. The subwoofer tends to make an annoying buzzing sound when the soundbar is connected via the aux cable but I haven't noticed it since using the optical to connect.

First and foremost, this review is considering that it is a budget soundbar, and I don't think it would be fair to compare it with the quality of a Bose or higher end system. The 4 stars is based on the value for the $100 price. Of course if it were being compared to a $1000 soundbar, it's obvious the sound and quality wouldn't stack up in comparison. For the $100 price tag, this soundbar does the job. It is better than the speakers and sound that you get from a standard TV speaker. Voices can be heard clearly, and it does add to the sounds in a movie that you normally wouldn't get on a standard TV speaker. The volume isn't the loudest, but it is plenty for using in a singular room. If you are looking to blast music throughout the house, this bar isn't the one for you. The sound quality is good, and it doesn't break up at higher volumes. Considering it has a subwoofer, I expected the bass to be a little better than it is, but it's not that big of a deal unless you are someone that likes that dramatic bass sound to be loud. Even with the bass turned all the way up, it's more of a subtle difference, rather than a big bass boom. Although I do think it is a good value for $100, there were a couple of quarks that I didn't really care for: 1) The Bluetooth is really lacking. The signal only transmits about 3-4 feet, then it starts having problems. So even though it has Bluetooth for listening to music, etc, it is very limited and you might as well just use an aux cable. Either way, you have to keep the transmitting Bluetooth device right next to the speaker; 2) There is no volume level reading on the soundbar, so you have no way of knowing how high or low the volume is, other than hearing it. This is the only soundbar I have ever had that didn't have some kind of bars, number counter, etc, that let you know how high or low the volume was at. It's something I had to get used to; 3) Getting the words to sinc with the picture on my tv took some tinkering, and even then I just happened to accidentally discover that the trick was to use both RCA and Optical cable at the same time, then it sinc'ed up for some reason. But just using an Optical cable or RCAs by themselves, it was like watching a foreign language movie because the words were slightly off so I almost just gave up and bought another soundbar, before I plugged both cords in at the same time. But, every other soundbar I have ever had has simply been as easy as plugging in the Optical cord...this one took a little time to get right. But it has been working well for about 2-3 weeks now. Overall, it is good for the price. For $100, you can't really expect a top of the line product without flaws. But this item has no major issues that I have found, and it does the job I was looking for. I would recommend it for someone looking for something to hold them over until they were ready to spend the money on a high quality bar. It does the job.

Sounds really good. At a great price it sounds better than I anticipated. I have a small apartment so I'm pleased it doesn't get ridiculously loud. Which also means happy neighbors while me and the family having fun watch our favorite movies. So if you're looking for somthing to shake the furniture while listening I wouldn't recommend.

Yes, it is not Bose. It is not for an audiophile. However, for someone who wants to add depth to their regular TV or movie watching, these are simply excellent. Almost zero setup complications. The sub pairs via bluetooth, so all you need to do is power it with the included cable and your good to go. If you have the option to use an optical audio cable do so, just make sure your TV setting is set to PMC. Superb sound for the value. I got it on sale for $80, and its worth every penny. It would be even for the 150 but just wait until it goes on sale again to really feel great about the purchase. Cannot go wrong for the amatuer tv viewer.

Sound quality is good. Noticeable improvement over what's built-in to my television. Initial setup and control is somewhat confusing, but after some usage operation is clear. Choice of color changing light for input source might not be best for someone with colorblindness. I wish there was a volume indicator and a way to control volume from my television without a separate remote. I recommend trying different audio mixing/tuning presets on the remote to see what works and sounds best.

At only 80 watts, it's actually pretty good. Not the best soundbar on the market, but I find it greatly improves the voice quality over my smart tv sound. I purchased and use a digital optical cable which provides better sound than the RCA audio cable included with the soundbar. It also provides 3 different sound options. Standard, theater and news, but I hear only a slight difference between the three. The most difference was noticed once I figured out how to increase the bass setting with puts the subwoofer to good use. Otherwise, I can barely hear the subwoofer For just over $50, I think it's definitely worth it. Another good feature is that it balances the sound level so that now I don't have to mute or change the volume level during commercials and background music is just that and doesn't cover the vocals. One more thing, the RCA audio cable will completely override the tv sound, but the digital optical cable does not and allows sound from both the tv and the soundbar, but there is a lag between the two, so I simply mute my tv sound.
