Customers enjoy the sound quality, ease of use, and relatively small size of this 2.1 speaker system. Many also appreciate the affordable price and convenient headphone jack. Some users found the bass to be lacking, and a few experienced issues with the volume control. Overall, the system is praised for its ease of setup and good sound for its size.

If ur looking for a little setup for, say, a kids room for his/her computer, then thia lil setup is very nice. One of the few small speaker setups that BB carries that is a 2.1 system (left / right speakers w/ subwoofer). Makes decent sound without rocking the place (descent sound but tame at the same time). The system won't rock the place, but for the money, any kid under 15 should appreciate them just fine.

Space-Saving Speakers w/ Great Bass

I bought these speakers in 2009 when they were on sale for $17.99...yeah, really.
It was such a great deal. A friend had Insignia speakers with a subwoofer on her computer (a different model) and they always sounded wonderful so I knew I had to have the same brand.
Setting them up is a no-brainer.
These look so much better than the ugly Dell speakers that came with my computer. They have a fabric covering on the front rather than a metal or plastic, so they do attract fuzz and dust quite often.
They have a pleasant blue power light instead of the standard harsh red one.
The volume is very loud at it's loudest, the bass is great. They have a headset jack on the speaker with the controls which is nice because my computer tower is too far away and the cord on my headphones is too short to reach up to me. The subwoofer sits underneath my desk, it's out of the way and no one can see it. The speakers work well on my small desk, too. Since they're flat on the sides (and not rounded like my old ones) they can be next to the wall or printer without leaving strange gaps.
In the short time that I've owned these, I have had ZERO problems. Never once had to disconnect and reconnect or move the speakers or subwoofer to different areas.

I bought these speakers when they were on sale for $17. For the price I would recommend this set. You get 2 satellite speakers and a mini subwoofer. The sound is pretty loud but don't count on getting deep bass as the speakers get distorted. I use these as PC speakers but they should be compatible with any device with a 3.5mm jack. One of the speakers includes a headphone jack as well. The only negative part is the power supply which is a bit bulky.

Does a good job for what i paid. i got these on sale during x-mas time.
the only thing i don't like is the wires between the two speakers are too short. i have dual monitors and the wires are not long enough for the speakers do not reach on each side.
the bass that comes with it sounds ok.

I originally hooked these up to my imac and they worked great. Deep bass on the tiny sub and overall good quality for the price. I now have this set hooked up to my record play. The quality isn't that good but it works. Overall i'm satisfied.

I needed a compact set of speakers to fit on my computer desk and these fill the need perfectly. The sound is very good (and adjustable) with separate bass and main volume controls. Nice looking and quality built. I continue to appreciate the "value" that the Insignia brand delivers.

I bought these the other day on a flash sale for $17. Was easy to setup took about 2 mins in total to unpack and plug in. I haven't had speakers in many years so am quite happy to have these little guys going. You don't really notice the sub. But for the price they get the job done!

For my set up the computer is on the floor and to the left of the monitor. The wire from the primary speaker (the one with the on and off button) that plugs into the computer is too short. To make this setup work for my situation, the right speaker (with the on off button) has to be placed on the left side of the monitor. Since I am right handed this setup is backward. If your a lefty it is ok. The blue light that indicates on or off is on the bright side if your in a dark room. Overall, for the price, these speakers are ok.

These are great speakers! Wonderful sound. But wishing the volume went a little higher. And, we don't really enjoy the placement of the volume. Wish it was on the subwoofer, because we like our speakers up high. But other than that we are very pleased with these speakers for the price!

purchased this speaker set when my old ones decided to start popping. I did some searching around and bam I found these speakers and honestly for 20 bucks they are good quality. they even have a subwoofer that is pretty good for gaming. all in all I recommend these for affordable replacements.

I own the $130 Klipsch system for my living room. Was looking for a system for my second TV and bought the $30 version and was disappointed. Took it back and bought this one. This produces very solid bass and nice clean treble for the price. A very solid middle ground for folks looking for a mid range sound and something better than simply entry level speakers. This is a very good value for the price with great acoustics for a medium sized bedroom.

They're not an audiophiles dream, but they work well enough for play music from your PC while doing work. Definitely not meant for entertainment at a party. Sound quality is okay. The sound is clear and it has some bass at low volume, but if you go to high it falls apart.

For many years I used 5.1 or 6.1 computer speaker systems because I love to be surrounded by sound. But a downside to those systems was always the mass of wires all over the place. When I began to get serious about improving my music recording studio, I bought a mid-priced 2.1 system that served as reference speakers and have been very satisfied with it. But I also needed speakers for another computer system I used for applications other than music production, so I decided to try this inexpensive Insignia 2.1 speaker system. I can honestly say that it is almost as good as my more expensive system, and absolutely adequate for music listening. Forget the fancy 5.1 systems; this 2.1 produces a fine, full sound experience.
