It’s a good case for an HDD and SSD even uses usb c to usb c cable but it’s not great. It’s made from plastic and if you plan on swapping hard drives in and out of it then look elsewhere as it is a pain to open (at least the one I got is).

It did exactly what we were hoping to accomplish and at a reasonable, onetime expenditure.

I could see the drive under disk management, but there was no option to "initialize" or otherwise format the drive and it wasn't showing under My Computer. That said, I was able to use cmd commands to format and setup the drive and it works now.

My only issue was the included USB-C to USB-C with a USB-A adapter was finicky and would disconnect and reconnect while plugged in. I had a spare C to A cable and using that solved the issue.

This case supports the USB C data transfer rate. It does contain a USB C to USB A adapter for use in USB 2.0/3.x connections

I can access all files on the drive. I can also boot onto this drive. Works like a charm!

This allows to check drives that have been in the "lost and found."
