This drive enclosure is great! I put an SSD drive in and it is working perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone who has a drive they would like to protect and use.

Had to replace a faulty SATA-to-USB-A adapter and this USB-C enclosure is perfect. Much better protection for my SSD driver and USB-C allows much faster data transfer. Very easy to install the drive...no skill required...and it's plug-n-play from there. Couldn't be simpler.

Works just like a normal external drive for storage after putting in an SSD OR HDD, BOTH work geat with this usb adapter box.

I had a 2.5” 1TB hard drive left over from my SSD upgrade. A lot of amazon enclosurers had bad port selection; USB-A to USB-A or USB-B, mini-USB, unremovable cables or all sorts of funky configurations. This best buy enclosure is one of the cheapest I found and also has a USB-C port on it, and comes with a USB-C to USB_C cable with a USB-C to A adapter included (take a shot for every time I said USB). So, it’s future proof and you can replace the cable in case of failure. Installation was easy and tool free; mine fit right in but it also comes with sticky pads if you have a thinner drive. This is a great way to repurpose old drives or just have an external storage device for cheaper. Mostly plastic, but gets the job done and also looks sleek and great.

I recently removed a dark disk drive from an older desktop pc, and I needed an enclosure for it. Insignia provided this HDD enclosure, and I am very pleased with the fit and finish as well as the pricing…..works as advertised, and I would purchase again.

2.5 inch SSD enclosure is just what I was looking for usb-c cable and 6GB transfer speeds went well for more my data transfers. Insignia label always exceeds my expectations never had a problem with any of there products.

Works as expected - easy to setup and use. Great to use for old SSD after upgrading to M.2 drive.

Had an old laptop with a new drive. Recycled the laptop but used the SATA drive enclosure to make the drive a back up. Works Great! Nice and small and portable with no connection issues.

Came in with computer issues that were going to be a bit pricy to fix, so I was recommended this to get my information off the drive, works great!

Truly the Best SSD case I've gotten, only second to a generic Orico 3.5/2.5 dual HD holder that no longer is made (N/A for newer models). Insignia has a place in my heart on a number of there products and in fact I needed somethings on this visit and forgot this brand and will likely order another if available right now.

Amazing gadget if you need to get rid of your old laptop but still need your files.

I bought this to clone an old drive to a new bigger one. I've had other tools like this before, but of all of them, this one was by far the easiest to use and was much quicker.

Very simple way to turn an internal hard drive into an exterior drive. I have loaded things onto it, reformated, and had no troubles. Keep in mind both connections are USB-C which might be a problem with an older machine

Great deal I use it to transfer files between pc tower and laptop with SSD so I can take my projects on the go. super speedy. Love that it’s tool less.

I bought this one Open Box... It was like new. Easy to use! Plug and Play. The Foam Stickers are a little weird though, it hard to tell which size Stickers you can use. Luckily, you can peel and re-stick them if they don't fit.

Worked perfectly to recover the hard disk from a broken laptop. Good instructions. Nice that it included the cable.
