I had a project to back up a bunch of old computers for my dad into a single ssd, and this enclosure made the presentation complete. Installation was a breeze. The ssd I put into it just slid right in, yet connection is still secure. Now my dad has the ability to discover many of photos we thought were lost for years, and all he has to do is plug it into a USB port. Note that although the cable is a c-to-c cable, there is an adapter head included in the package to plug into a type a port. Definitely a great bonus!

I use it for a samsung ssd on my shield pro. My only complaint is that this is usb 2 not usb 3.....the box only says works on 2 and 3. Not helpful since usb is backwards compliant. They need a usb 3.0 speed since sata 3 outpaces usb 2. Only reason i bought this was because they dont sell an enclosure with a power supply. Ssd's will also use more than 5 watts when writing and starting up, wish the enclosure would allow more than 5. Otherwise it's doing what it should....except for the usb bottleneck
