Worked great to salvage the Hard Drive out of my old laptop

This was a great purchase. Got this to recover files from my dads laptop that had a motherboard error. It was as simple as insert the hard drive and then plug into the computer and it brought all the files up. Would def recommend to anyone

Upgraded to a solid state drive in my laptop, so decided to get one of these enclosures and use the laptop drive as a backup/storage drive. If you know how to turn a screwdriver, you're ready for this. Good speed, good performance. No issues.

I bought this enclosure for my old half died hard drive on my laptop, I successfully backed up most of my important files, pretty good! The enclosure is well manufactured, well designed, easy to use, and basically that's what you are expecting from such a device!! Good!

Simply said, it does what it says. I swapped my conventional HDD for an SSD and used this to transfer files to the solid state drive. Everything went smoothly, didn't have to reinstall windows, and now my old hard drive can be used as a fairly large external hard drive.

The enclosure was inexpensive and easy to use. By saving the hard drive of the old (crashed) laptop, we were able to save an extensive Itunes music collection an all of its settings, as well as anything else that might have been on the old drive when the laptop crashed.

I had an old 320gb PS3 laptop HDD just sitting around. I picked up this enclosure and had the drive installed in minutes. I did a reformat and now have a roomy extra portable drive for family videos and photos.

I went to Best Buy looking for a SATA dock to image some HDD's for a Point of Sale system upgrade. Best Buy was out of docks, so I had to purchase this. It works.

Item was used to help repair my laptop in accessing and checking the status of the hard drive. It worked exactly as designed and I was able to use my laptop while waiting for the replacement part.

Worked very well, I needed to get data off of a hard drive from a laptop that died. Slid it in the enclosure and it worked great. It is small, just big enough to do what it needs to do. The case itself should act like a heat sink though I would not use it in overly hot environment, it will be fine for normal use though.

My laptop died last weekend. Purchased this item to house my laptop’s ssd so that I can recover important files. I intend to keep this product to house an external ssd for additional storage/backup.

I upgraded to Win 10 on a Dell laptop and the OS ended up corrupt. I did not want to lose my data on the drive and needed a way to secure the files to transfer to another laptop. This item worked like a charm. I will get a lot of use out of this in the future.

Its just the box, holds the hard drive I had removed from my laptop when I replaced with a SSD drive... Now I can use it as external storage.... comes with short usb cord... Seems a bit pricey however for what you get...

Very easy to set up and use! Just add a SSD and plug it in using the included USB cable, and you’ve got a portable hard drive! I had to initialize the new SSD I used with disk manager in Windows 10. Works great!

On eBay you can buy a similar enclosure for less than half the price I paid for this one at Best Buy. But sometimes you need something then and there, and that's why I bought this one at Best Buy. In other news, it works fine and I appreciated the nice little screwdriver it came with.

Bought for cloning an HDD drive from a laptop to a SSD. Worked great no issues. Came with the screw driver to open it up, which was cool.

My other lap top died and the associate at Best Buy suggested we hook up the old hard drive to the new computer. Now I just switch back and forth between the hard drives. Also, I have an extra TB of storage with the old hard drive attached.

This was very easy to get connected to the hard drive. I was able to get all the info that I needed from my old computer. The only thing that I wasn't please with was that my hard drive doesn't fit in the case that is provided.

I purchased the Insignia - 2.5 Serial Ata Hard Drive Enclosure for a new Sandisk - Ultra Ii 960gb Internal SSD purchased the same day. The case is high quality, inexpensive and really seats my SSD securely. I am very happy with this purchase.
