Bought this enclosure since I had an extra laptop hard drive after replacing it with a SSD. Easy to use and drive fit well with no rattle once closed up. Reformatted the drive and attached to my docking station for more storage.

I upgraded the 500GB memory in my PS4 with a SSD and used this Insignia enclosure for the 500GB memory that came factory with my PS4. I now use this memory as the external storage for my PS4. Excellent rating from me.

This is fast and does the job - just supply the 2.5" solid state drive. A bit more expensive than what you'd find for a comparable product online. Just glad they had them in-stock at the store.

I recently replaced my laptop hard drive with a SSD. I used this product to first copy all of my files from my original HD to the new one. It worked great and now I use the case to hold the old HD and use it as a external HD.

I had a spare 1TB laptop drive that I was using in my PS4. I ended up replacing it with a 2TB and bought this casing to use the 1TB as an external drive. Works great and the black case and blue LED light match my PS4.

I purchased this to migrate my OS to a SSD but have since used it for the mechanical drive that came out of the system. It has worked great and it is built very nice. Putting the drive in is extremely simple. I have not had any problems.

This item is so easy to use I didn't even need the instructions. I just popped in my old laptop hard drive, plugged the cord into my new laptop and before you know it I had a perfect backup drive. It even works with my smart TV. How cool is that?

Overall the enclosue it great for its price.This is the second one I have bought. One item of note was it doesn't come with a riser plate for thing SSD drives. This allows the drive to rattle in the enclosure if you shake it. This really isn't an issue for me but worth noting.

I had a Netbook with a failing hard drive. Bought the enclosure inserted a new drive and cloned the failing drive. I didn't have a glitch of any kind. Popped the new drive in the netbook and was up and running. I was using Ubuntu as the operating system.

The HDD enclosure worked exactly as expected. There are more expensive versions that comes with software, but if you are just looking for a way to connect and internal drive externally, this is perfect.

I got this because I needed to transfer some files from an old laptop to a new laptop. This casing did jus that. It was very easy to assemble. Now I use the external drive as extra space. I was not disappointed

The price point - perfect! You don't have to spend a lot when you want to have an enclosure for your HD. It's also made of metal which can protect your HD in a different level.

Fantastic build quality. Bought this on a whim when working on a laptop SSD upgrade for a friend. Just priced a little high next to similar enclosures. Sleek, USB powered over a micro-usb connection, crazy easy to install and an overall great asthetic.

Highly recommend these if you're pulling out your HDD drive to replace with an SSD or other drive. Turns the HDD drive into an external USB drive and works very well. I bought 4 and they are all working well after months of use.

I was preparing to install a new SSD when the computer died. Bought a laptop with a smaller flash drive and decided to use the 1T SSD as a portable drive. The case does a good job of protecting the new SSD and providing a nice portable SSD.

Got this to retrieve info from a hard drive that was in a laptop that stopped working. Simple to use, two screws, put in the hard drive and plug it into another computer.

The Hard drive enclosure worked exactly as described. My old laptop died and I was able to pull the hd out, insert it into this hd enclosure and plug it into my new laptop. From there I simply copied the files to my new laptop. Super easy!
