Having absolutely no experience with computers other than turning them on and off this was a breeze to use! I had to have my hard drive removed from my MacBook Pro, and Apple advised me to get this so I can still access my files. The price was great!

Overal, the design is good. It's easy to install a hard drive and setup. It will handle any 2.5 inch hard drive, and appears to be sturdy. The "but" is for performance. This does not support UASP, which is important for solid-state hard drives. You will get good speed, but never get close to the potential of USB 3.0 without that feature.

Good external ssd or hdd enclosure. I have three and all work flawlessly. SSD runs at about 250 Mb/s.

It's a tiny little hard drive enclosure for the smaller hard drives. I needed one. This one works exactly as I needed it to. The manufacturer even included a tiny screwdriver to install the tiny screws they also included that are needed to assemble it. Quite nice actually.

Simple, easy to use, the price point is great. If you have PC hard drives not in use, this makes a great device to add additional storage.

This enclosure does what it says. It is easy to add a drive to it. Just slide one right into the connectors and then slide it into the casing. Tighten some screws and you have a fast 3.0 USB connection for any SATA hard drive read to go.

I purchased this along with an SSD for the Xbox One X and have had zero issues. Got it on sale and it performs as expected.

compact, durable, easy to set up, use as backup drive, has worked fine since purchase over a year ago, of course prices have dropped, but served its purpose well

In the last year I have replaced half a dozen spinning hard drives with SSDs. The old drives still worked and I wanted to use them for auxiliary storage. This enclosure is easy to use and reasonably priced.

This saved all my documents and files from my old laptop and quickly and safely sent it to the new laptop. This was easily and quickly done. Works with any brand laptop.

Everytime I upgrade a hard drive to an SSS I purchase one of these so I can use the old drive as external storage. Easy to open (held together with just two Philips screws), comes with its own screw driver and the drive plugs in with no effort.

When my old Apple MacBook Pro finally died, it had a fairly new 1TB hard drive. No sense in wasting that! The hard drive was easy to remove and insert in this enclosure and instant portable backup.

I grabbed this for the cloning process when I upgraded my Mac Mini hard drive to SSD. The enclosure works great! It definitely helps that it’s a USB 3 enclosure. The process was nice and relatively quick!

I was nervous about trying this product, but it was very simple to assemble and use for data storage and retrieval. My windows laptop stopped working and after diagnosis by the Geek squad was determine that while repairing the laptop was not a financially beneficial choice, the hard drive was still in tact and salvageable. I purchased this product, installed the salvaged hard drive from the laptop and all my data was saved and now accessible thanks to this product. The only downside was that the computer I purchased to replace the broken windows computer is a Mac and so saved programs on the hard drive do not work on the mac , however, pictures, files, and documents are accessible and usable on the Mac from the windows hard drive installed in this product.

My laptop hasn't been working for years and I carried it from place to place in hopes of one day getting it fixed to get my files off of it. I was doing some research one day and saw that I could just buy one of these little nifty drive readers and get access to my files without having to get my laptop fixed! It is exactly what I needed and I was able to see old pictures that I haven't seen in years, including pictures of my old cat who passed years prior. This was definitely worth the purchase!

Worked good for a fast external ssd hook up, easy installation

I needed an easy 'plug n go' hard drive to clear space on my computer. This was easy to use, decent transfer speed and its nice and compact to keep in laptop bag.

So, here's the thing. I review things a little differently than some people. Anything that does it's intended job as intended, I count as a four star review. Thus, this device, which allowed me to turn a spare 500 GB hard drive into a really nice external storage drive gets four stars because it does it's job. I reserve five star reviews for things that in some way exceed expectations, so as something that simply does exactly what I need it to do, this four star review is really a fantastic endorsement. If I have one gripe, it's that the USB port on the thing is a USB Micro B type connecter, meaning if the original cord gets damaged, replacing it is going to be a huge pain. Other than that, however, I am really surprised by this little enclosure.

I bought this enclosure to go along with the SSD I purchased. I had no idea of the quality and how easy it was to use but I was very pleased with both. This is a USB 3.0 enclosure so the speed is also good.
