Simple device so I could reuse an SSD drive out from a laptop that no longer worked. Was easy to insert SSD drive and worked as advertised. Comes with a short USB 3.0 cable.

This is a great item. Once I bought this, I pulled out all my old laptops and recovered a bunch of information. Easy to use and durable. Great for recovering information quickly from your old or broken laptops.

I am not an IT geek, and was surprised at the ease of installation and set-up. I inserted my SDD within 5 minutes, plugged it into my new Macbook Pro and it functioned perfectly without any problem!

I have at least 4 of these cases and have various SSD drives installed as well as a couple of old 2.5 inch harddisks installed. They have work great for everything i need them for.

I purchased an SSD and used it in a dock till I saw this at Best Buy. Purchased, install & working faster than a $400.00 drive I use at work. Great way to go & a lot less expensive.

Great enclosure for an original hard drive. I put in a SSD in my macbook pro and wanted to use the original hard drive as an external. This enclosure accomplishes that.

This case is exactly what I needed. It keeps my external drive safe and it is easy to use. The price was very affordable also.

i recently upgraded the hard drive in my laptop to an SSD. I used this enclosure for the drive that was removed from the laptop. This is a great small enclosure that I can easily carry to use as a back up drive.

Drive fit in the enclosure. I had to plug the USB cord into my computer twice to get it to recognize it, but works great. Appears as a drive in file explorer. It is always there when the computer restarts.

I use this for my SSD harddrives and it works amazing. Can save money buy buying laptop hard drives and just using this enclosure over and over again

Easy to open & install the drive, works nice & fast with a 2tb WD Blue HDD and a Samsung 860 SSD! Would recommend!

I have had several hard cases for 2.5" HDD but this is by far the best that I have used. It is like it was built for NASA. Very easy to intstall a HDD and even to chage one as well.

All things considered, I was impressed when I opened the box, not to say it does anything particularly better than any similar products; this is the sort of thing that either works or it doesn't after all. But the fact that I got it locally in an actual store was a nice surprise, and the extra money it cost to do so seems to have been put into a quality case that fits together well with nice smooth edges and a durable finish. It is actually made so that it can't be put back together incorrectly and even has some padding on the inside. It also includes a decent (or at least think) USB 3.0 cable, as well as a screwdriver to assemble it.

This hard drive enclosure makes it so easy to recover and retrieve data from the hard drive of a broken computer, or at least find out that the drive itself was damaged. Plus, if the drive does work, once you get the data off of it and onto another computer, the vacated drive can be turned into an external backup drive for the new computer for a fraction of the cost of buying a new external hard drive. This enclosure can save your data, and it can save you money too. I took me a few minutes to figure out how to get the drive attached to the enclosure, but easy to assemble once I did. I’d highly recommend this hard drive enclosure to anyone.

If you need an inexpensive enclosure for a SATA drive, this is perfect. Easy, inexpensive and does what it is supposed to.

I'm a DJ and rather use my SSD with this enclosure then purchase a slow external drive. Comes with screwdriver, easy to install and just plug in, USB 3.0 windows had no problem recognizing it.

It seems to work well, it is well-built, and has tightly-fitting components. I'm not sure if the USB-SATA interface has some bugs or if it is an issue with the hard drive I have loaded into it (the original 2.5" 5400 rpm drive from my work laptop, cloned and replaced with a Samsung SSD, still holding OS install from the laptop). I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because it gives me intermittent issues, sometimes not showing up as a drive, that I cannot uncover the source of. When it works, it works flawlessly - which makes me think it is something with the drive still containing an OS install, with boot sector and all. This enclosure is a cheap way to get a portable/external USB 3.0 SSD - compared to the price of a purpose built portable SSD drive.
