Works as advertised! I had absolutely no problem using it to hard drives on two occasions!

Worked as advertise. I was able to pull a hard drive from an old computer, and extract all the data I needed. Good deal on this for the price.

Read and write speeds are good. The extra USB 3.0 port on the back is nice, although I wish it was in a more convenient location. The dock is great for transferring files off old hard drives and cloning SSDs. The one negative with this is that 3.5" hard drives run hot to the touch while in the dock, regardless of whether or not you are transferring files. The drives report that they are running over 60° C (140F), when they run around 40° C (104F) inside my desktop. I'm not really sure why, because it's open air with the exception of the lower part of the drive, but it's something worth noting.

I purchased this item in order to inspect some old hard drives that have been laying around and it works great. All that is needed is to plug the USB connector to the pc and off you go.

Works very well. Was easy to install - plug and play. Works on both ssdd and also regular dusk drives. Has two slots so can handle 2 drives of any mix.

This is much faster than my previous docking station and enables two devices rather than one.

Great tool for looking at the files on older hard drives. Allows you to review and then copy over to your new computer. Makes you old harddrive that is out of a computer easy to read like a thumb drive.

We bought this hard drive dock so that we could access files from our old computer. It was plug and play -- very easy to use, and helped us efficiently transfer the files we needed.

Gave one away to a friend for his jobs backup requirement. These things are awesome, slap two drives in and backup or copy, can't go wrong! Use them all the time to scan client drives.
