Great for transferring between HDDs and SSDs especially when upgrading to larger drives. Not as fast as doing a direct transfer, but if you only have one drive spot in your computer, this is fast enough. Just set it to transfer and then goto bed or go do something else. Reason for 4/5 is that the release buttons for the drives feels a bit flimsy and that when the drive does release it almost feels like you're about to launch it somewhere. Very good product at the price and does what it's supposed to do.

The Insignia 2-bay HDD Docking Station is a perfect hardware for transferring desktop and laptop HDD data to a back-up drive or another PC.

It is very easy to use and works perfectly. Can use my hard drives from previous computers on this without issue.

My Computer Crashed, Files on my Hard Drive could not be read by my my computer. I took my Hard Drive out of my computer and put it into the insignia 2-Bay HDD docking Station. It turned out that there were corrupted files on my HDD that were keeping my computer from booting. With the Insignia 2-Bay HDD Docking Station I was able to recover all those files that I needed and place them on a Flash drive. I am now a happy camper.
