How can you plug it into a jack when there is no male connector on either end? The photo provided doesn't show both ends. I guess I should've read the specs which do say that both end 1 and end 2 are female, but I did read a Q&A which said there WAS a male connector. In order to use this I had to attach a short cord which was male on both ends. Fortunately I happened to have one on hand, but the quality isn't too good, making it a weak link. I have some static on the line.

However, I understand your situation and I want you to know that you can take advantage of the 15 day return period that Best Buy grants you for this product directly at the Customer Service counter at your nearest store with your receipt in hand.
