Would not be without it especially in the winter. Also use a power-strip for an added measure. This is a good product at a good price.

Caution; This outlet is electrically powered and requires power to be turned off at the breaker box. You might not want this item if you are not willing to rewire an outlet.

Neat to see a plug with 1000+ Joule resistance, although through some reading it seems that you may have to replace if you have a lot of electrical surges like any surge protector.

However, it's a very snug fit - takes a little bit of maneuvering to install. One of the 4 that I purchased randomly disconnects and I had to wiggle the plug to get reconnected - maybe.
