I use mine on the counter plug where my echo show is plugged in so I never have to unplug it! The other plug is used for our indoor camera that faces out the kitchen window and THIS plug is what I use for my insta pot, crock pot, electric griddle, electric grill or anything like that that is normally put up and off the counter. Will be getting another one for the other side of the counter where toaster, can opener, blender and processor gets used!

Nice to use for those locations you need a large plug or relay to be a little further out from the outlet as well.

I had two sets of LED lighting I was running off of one power adapter. Checked on it once the little adapter was HOT. This allowed me to still use only one outlet but add a second power adapter. Problem solved!
