Insignia 2 pack in wall outlet with 2 usb charging ports. I had bought adapter outlets that just plugged into existing outlets to add usb ports & more outlets so I wasn’t using one outlet to keep my chargers plugged my sister & brother in laws house they just bought had these in for all the outlets in the house which my sister was so excited to show me cause we always fought for outlets to charge our electronics. I was nervous to install these myself but being I’m not the waiting for someone else to do it for me I read the instructions watched a you tube video & had them installed with 30 mins they fit perfectly into my existing outlet box, remember to turn off electricity from your main breaker box before messing with electrical stuff. It was so easy to install pull out the old ones, there’s only two wires to connect just make sure to connect the black one which they called a hot wire & the white one which is called the ground wire. The box one the back side of the usb outlet is kinda big but fit in the box nicely & the screw wholes seem standard as all outlets I didn’t have extra work to do, just wire it up screw it on & bam outlets worked, usb charger worked they actually charged fairly quickly. I’m happy with them they need to make these with nicer designer styles & colors.

They are too big for a standard junction box. No where does it me tion this in the description. You do not know until the box is opened and instructions are read and only if you flip to the very last page in fine print. Waste of time and money. Thankfully best but is awesome and we were able to return without issue.

The Insignia 2 Pack - 2-Outlet In-Wall Outlet with USB is something I have seen more in hotels than homes. These provide device charging outlets via two USB-A outlets along with two standard AC outlets. These are easy to install if you are comfortable with basic electrical work. Not as with any electrical work you must take sufficient measure to ensure the power on the circuit is turned off before replacing your current wall outlet with the Insignia™ - 2 Pack - 2-Outlet In-Wall Outlet. If you can't find the specific breaker turn off the main breaker before attempting a install. As for the outlets themselves, nothing fancy here just two standard outlets and two USB-A outlets @ 5 volts/1.8amps. The amperage (which is a factor in how quickly your device changes) is standard here, you are not going to get fast charging as you would with a standalone charger. You also do not get any type of surge protection, so if you are expecting a stormy night perhaps plugging your valued device into a standalone surge suppressor using a standard charging adapter would be advised. Overall these are easy to install and handy to have in a tech friendly home. Pros: - easy to install for those who feel comfortable doing basic electrical work - nice looking, bright white with matching wall plate Cons: - no surge suppression capabilities - USB ports are standard, not fast charging

These USB charger outlets are a nice upgrade to just about any outlet near where you would want to charge something. I found them exceptionally handy to power a USB-powered clock and a bunch of USB light chargers. They are great for most general USB devices and chargers, as they provide enough wattage to charge them, but not so much wattage that you might second-guess plugging into them. The only drawback I found was if you plug a large enough wall wart into either of the power outlets, it can block the USB port. I found a good workaround with a pass-through plug. I'm using them in the kitchen where we tend to charge most of our 'stuff'. I didn't notice any excess heat while charging a couple lights with both of the USB charging ports. That's about as much draw I think I'll be putting on them. Installation was simple. The outlets have screw-down terminals as well as push-in terminals, as well as a wire strip gauge so you know exactly how long your house wiring needs to be. The covers are nice and thick, and the screws are retained by the plate so you don't lose them.
