Buyer Beware: Does not work on the Mac Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item to get USB 3 on my 2012 Mac Pro. It does not work on the Mac Pro --- all it does is power external USB devices. I'm sure this product is great on Wintel machines, but not on a Mac.

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.randomly the usb devices that are connected will disconnect and reconnect. not sure if the AIB, Mobo, or PSU are hiccuping. I only plug non essential peripherals into it now.

I was getting 175mbs and sometimes more on transfer speeds... The bottleneck wasnt this device!
