Customers are impressed with the sound quality and affordability of these 2-Way Indoor/Outdoor Speakers. Many also highlighted the ease of installation and the convenient size, making them suitable for various locations. However, some customers noted that the bass response could be improved and that the speakers are not wireless. The speakers' weather resistance was also a positive feature for outdoor use.

I purchased these speakers at an open box price, but if I knew how good they were, I would’ve paid double the retail price! They sound louder and crisper than my Bose speakers and have weathered the extreme hot and cold with no issues. These speakers are a great value!

I use these for the rear speakers on my surround sound and they do the job pretty well. Fairly well balanced speakers but wouldn't reccomend nearly as highly for dedicated speakers. Works great to add to a surround system though.

Purchased these to mount outside for patio audio. It took a bit for me to figure out my Zone 2 configuration on my receiver: turns out Zone 2 couldn't receive a digital signal, I had to pre-convert the source to analog first (I bought a Chromecast Audio on eBay, running a 3.5mm-to-RCA wire to an input on the receiver, allowing me to cast Spotify directly from my phone to the speakers). While this has nothing to do with the speakers, I mention it because some might be setting up a similar configuration and could potentially fault the speakers for not hearing sound (my wife's initial reaction when they didn't work was "take the speakers back").
With that out of the way... the speakers themselves sound great. Obviously if you're using just the speakers without any sort of bass (i.e. a subwoofer), which is likely in an outdoor setup, you'll notice the lack of substantive bass... but that's not to say the bass in the speakers are lacking, because they aren't. They're just what you'd expect from midrange bookshelf speakers. Audio sounds good overall, well balanced (not too bass or treble leaning) and crisp; volume is good, and voices are clear.
Mounting the speakers was easy with the included mounts. I screwed in the brackets, then used the hand screws for the sides of the speakers to attach them to the mounts. Having mounting brackets included with the speakers really adds to the value of the package.
I mounted mine under a ledge of the house, so they won't get significant direct moisture from rain or snow nor will they be exposed to direct sunlight; however, they're near a water hose so they might get hit with stray water, and being in Colorado, they'll be prone to wildly shifting temperatures and rather extreme dryness. I don't foresee any of this to be a problem. I'd owned basically the same speakers about 5 years ago in Texas and used them similarly (covered outdoor patio) in the heat and humidity; they never showed signs of damage or wear over several years of use. I expect the same from these.
Whether they're used outdoors in the elements or indoors just as inexpensive bookshelf speakers, these sound good and provide exceptional value.

Great for Amateur Radio Use

I purchased these as "open-box" from Best Buy's eBay storefront, as the local BB didn't have the OB units in stock. My intent for these speakers is a little different than most folks', I imagine - I wanted to use these as external add-on speakers for my two amateur radio transceivers, since the built-in speakers on both units leave much to be desired. I didn't want to spend a lot, and while I had tried CB radio speakers, they didn't quite have the tonal quality I was looking for.
I connected the Insignias with some spare speaker wire hooked up to 1/8" stereo plug-to-screw-terminal adapters (the + side of the wire goes to the L terminal, the - side of the wire goes to the ground terminal).
Lo and behold, they work great! It's much easier to discern voices over the air that I was having trouble with before; I was concerned that the tweeter might introduce too much background hiss, but these speakers sound great. As I only needed one speaker for each radio, the set of 2 was a great value, especially as an "open-box" buy - these are just like brand new.
Just to test them, I did hook them up to my Insignia mini shelf system, and while they didn't have the fullness of the system's original speakers, they sounded pretty good - nice crisp highs and warm mids, albeit with less bass response. I can only wonder how they would do after a break-in period.
I can't comment on how they would stand up to the outdoor environment, but they are pretty solidly constructed.
All in all, if you're looking for an all-around decent-sounding utility speaker, check these out!

Our gym shut down during the pandemic, so my wife and I decided to convert our garage into a gym. We put up a 43” Insigna Fire TV, but the speakers and sound from the TV were awful. We had an old Yamaha receiver lying around from an old surround system. We didn’t have speakers, so we decided to get a cheap pair to hook up. We found these for under $40 and they’re great!!! Everything sounds crisp, clear, and loud. Obviously, bass lacks, but, for us it wasn’t an issue. The pair came with mounting brackets, so we mounted them to the ceiling on opposite sides of the garage, which fills the garage with sound (standard 2-car sized garage). Of course, there are better sounding speakers, but these are the best at this price range.

I bought these speakers on sale for $30 and I'm not disappointed. I mounted them in the kitchen for my receiver's Zone 2 function. The sound quality isn't outstanding but they're clear and loud enough for a smaller room. Additionally, the included brackets are of decent quality and are versatile enough for different mounting scenarios.

A good small room option for a bookshelf or mounted speaker.
Fidelity is great, bass a bit limited naturally because of size but works well as a rear or side theater speaker as well.
Spring terminals for wiring are small; crimp pin terminals are recommended. Brackets offer 120 degree rotation in vertical and horizontal orientation.

These speakers are small enough to fit practically anywhere inconspicuously, but they give off powerful sound. They were super inexpensive and work great. Easy to set up. I’m really happy with this purchase.

My purchase motivation was purely price on these so I didn't expect much, but they really do sound great! No, they're not full of deep rich base, but that's not the reason I bought these. If you need a decent set of speakers that are easily mountable to play at a low or medium level These are perfect .

Not bad for what it is. It is a set of small speakers meant for a small space, I believe. They are very clear but don't expect thundering bass. But for their size and limitations they are quite impressive. I use them outdoors on my deck with a little subwoofer for bass.

A great value and a lot of sound from a compact size. These surprisingly efficient speakers work great as a satellite speaker, front or rear, in any surround sound system. Very much worth the budget price, in fact, sound as good as units two or three times their price!

I bought these to replace an older set of insignia speakers on our porch. They sound great and come with all the mounting hardware which was a huge plus. They were very easy to install and we had music going in about half an hour. They're loud enough to entertain the whole neighborhood.
