You can control the receiver three ways: the front panel, remote and app. The panel controls are more complicated than those on many receivers, and few people like adding another remote control to their collection. This is why the smartphone app is the preferred control method for most users. The app is easy to navigate, and you’re far less likely to lose your phone between the couch cushions than a remote

A really nice, easy to use stereo receiver. It's 2.0 but if that's all you need, this is a great device for you. The remote is very responsive and has all buttons needed. The added Bluetooth feature is nice. Very highly recommended for someone needing a basic 2.0 receiver for around $100. Note: this does not have a phono amp (preamp) so you will need a separate preamp to use a record player (try Lepai or Pyle).

Although the BB sales jockey tried to talk me out of buying this amp because he claimed they were prone to catching fire....I decided to take my chances on my third purchase of one if these receivers. I am pleased to say my house is still standing and all 3 are still rocking their respective zones. Sometimes I wonder if the BB reps even read the reviews they supposedly are conveying to their customers....

So easy to set up and fits perfectly in my cabinet! Great price too!

This is a nice, good sounding receiver. Unfortunately, after using it for a just few months, the product unique remote quit working. There are features such as bass/treble controls that one can ONLY access through the remote...and so far Best Buy and Insignia are saying there are no separate remote replacements available...and apparently none planned...so this otherwise great little receiver is hampered by that decision. Generic replacement remotes will likely work main functions (power, volume, etc) but not those unique to this unit (like bass and treble controls). If Best Buy would remedy this, I would easily give it 5 out of 5 stars. But as it is, sadly I cannot recommend someone else buy what might quickly turn into a paper weight.

The Insignia stereo receiver is a basic am-fm receiver with Bluetooth. It works as expected and it has a remote so you can control its functions without getting up from your listening chair. It has worked well with a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers that I own. You can’t ask for more at the moment. Hopefully, it will continue to work with no problems for several years.

Solid for the price. Bluetooth connectivity is a plus.

I just continue to have good luck with Insignia electronic products. Several TVs that all still work perfectly after years of service, and two bookshelf Bluetooth stereo systems. I just bought this amplifier for my family room and it offers enough power to drive my outdoor speakers as well. Good functionality and performance at a budget price.
