Customers love the 200W 2.0-Ch. Stereo Receiver's Bluetooth connectivity, excellent sound quality, and ease of use. Many appreciate its affordable price and sufficient power. While some found the size a bit large and the bass could be improved, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

The setup took a bit longer than anticipated due to my use of two CD players as well as two sets of front speakers (A & B). Once the setup was completed I have been very pleased with the quality of the sound. When listening to music I have noticed a far greater level of detail and clarity than with my previous receiver (Sony STR-DA555ES). The instruments sound significantly more natural than with the previous system. I have also found this receiver to be easy to use. In summary, I have been very pleased with the quality of the sound and have recommended this system to several friends.

Not enough power for full sized speakers

I really wanted to love this receiver. Simply put, it just does not have enough output to drive a pair of Polk T-50s (6 ohms). The amp section does have discrete outputs, and does sound good but when pushed, it strains. It might pair better with small bookshelf speakers but full sized floor speakers are no match. I don't have an amp dyno but I'd be willing to bet this thing isn't putting out anywhere near the rated 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms. Other than that, it has a great AM/FM tuner, plenty of inputs including the front aux in jack, and is well constructed. The Bluetooth works very well, and sound is awesome. I ended up returning this and purchasing the Sony STR-DH190, which lacks an AM tuner, but you gain a superior amplifier section (the main purpose of a receiver anyway!) and a built-in phono preamp. This may be fine for a small speaker setup like apartment, but if you have full size drivers and expect it to get loud, you'll be disappointed.

For only 200 watts this thing will put out some power. It is nice it has two separate outputs that you can choose from. I have 2 garage speakers and 2 outdoor speakers hooked up to this. It is great you can switch between the two or play both at the same time. Great purchase just to have some tunes for gatherings. If your looking for something with crazy output and features I would recommend looking at something else. As this is just a basic receiver. It does have Bluetooth tho. :)

I wanted a separate sound system for my garage and was deciding between the insignia and a small portable Bluetooth player. I went with the insignia because I had a decent pair of older speakers to use. The Bluetooth on the receiver works great and has good sound for an entry level receiver. It is two channel only so this would not be a good choice for a home theater system.

This is one of the few stereo receivers on the market. Most receivers today are audio video receivers designed for media rooms and many speakers such as 5.1 or 7.2. I needed a simple stereo to power ceiling mounted left and right channel speakers in two rooms -- my great room and master bath. I have a separate media room upstairs where I use the more common A/V receiver. This Best Buy Insignia brand Insignia has nearly all the prerequisites including the ability to connect an iPod or iPhone. This requires a corded connection through the device's speaker jack. The receiver does not have a USB port for connecting these devices which is the only thing I would like to have had. You can also use Bluetooth but the compression may result in slightly lower quality sound reproduction but this is virtually indistinguishable to most. The Bluetooth connection at least doesn't require the device to be left connected with a cord. There are no front panel controls; all actions must be through the remote control. I have mine in an entertainment credenza and use an IR sensor to make sure I can control the device with all the wooden doors closed. The FM antenna is very sensitive and must be mounted in a good location.

I initially purchased a Denon receiver and had nothing but problems with it. Had to take to Geek Squad 3 times and they still could not figure out the problem. Since I had so many issues, they gave me store credit and I bought this receiver at less than half the price. I only needed a 2 channel since I only use it to power 2 speakers by my pool. This unit works great! And the Bluetooth works at 3X greater distance than the Denon. The sound is also great and power is more than enough for my two Klipsch speakers. Great purchase in my book!

It works for what I intended: 2 areas of 2 channel music (for game room and outside porch). The Bluetooth reach is sufficient but not great, beyond 20 feet you can experience communication breaks). Do not expect the purest krisp sound out of the unit (I used 2 Polk bookshelf speakers and the sound is ok, similar to a portable boom box). The unit works fine for me, I have only used it for about 10hrs with no issues. The price was the best thing, as I couldn't find anything else more economic than this

Bought this for my basement work area since my old Kenwood KA-3500 died, I have this paired up with some vintage JBL LX44 speakers, this receiver rocks these speaker out, good for a small area or small living room, for the price this receiver will do, could bring the cops out, I like the Bluetooth, I sync to my phone and can play the type of music I like, bass and treble response seem pretty good, of course the more bass, the more distortion your going to get, comes with a remote that I haven't used yet

I am a type of shopper that doesn't mind paying extra for brand/quality, but I was on a tight budget when I needed this item. Reluctantly I purchased Insignia (since it was a cheapest thing BB had). To my surprise this unit gave me everything I needed for my commercial property. It has several easy to use inputs and transmits to 6 speakers that are spread out through 3,000 sq ft area very well. This is the second time I bought Insignia product and both times I was very impressed not only with the cost, but also the quality.

I purchased this to use a pair of speakers out on the patio. I didn't want a crazy 5.1 or 7.2 receiver since I was only looking to power two 150 watt speakers (8 ohms) and it does the work well. the function I love is the bluetooth as I don't have to run back inside to adjust the volume. Everything is done in my phone, and I'm about 20 feet away outside and picks up signal well. I wouldn't use it for an entertainment center inside, but definitely will for a small-to medium setup outside, or parties inside.

I purchased this receiver a month ago, on sale for $99.99. I use it mainly to run my tv through and use my stereo speakers for TV sound (only 2 channel, so you can't use for surround sound). But what really sold me was the bluetooth feature. Most of my music is on my phone, and it's great to be able to play that music through this receiver. Sound quality is pretty good. THD is not the best, but I'm satisfied with it. You can't beat the price. Just hold off, it will go on sale every few months.

I purchased this receiver to run my turntable in my game room. After instilling the matching book shelf speakers I purchased seperatly I was so impressed with the sound I went back and picked up the outdoor speakers and ran those to my back yard for some pool side music! The two Chanel function allows me to play music outside without playing music inside.

After some 30 years, my JBL amp that I had been using to fill my house with music, has died. I've had my TV sound through that system and received nothing but compliments of the great sound, so I was devastated. However the TV gods were looking down on me when I bought the Insignia 200 watt amp. Sound is good either at low or higher volumes. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the lows don't drive as hard as I had hoped. There really isn't that low rumble, but still a great unit.

I will not say its bad nor good. but if youre an audiophile ill spend it else where. pros: blutooth, enough power to power most speakers. clean design, well ventilated. cons: lacks adjustment features, (bass boost, Mid adjust) worth it if you only want to power on speakers and just want to hear music.

I wanted a solution to power up some speakers on my patio. after playing with different ideas I stumbled on this. I am impressed with the value Bluetooth has great range, easily making 30 feet through walls. I also picked up an apple airport express but am doubting I really needed it as well as the bluetooth is performing. I am likely going to try running another pair inside the house, the only thing missing is an A-B switch to select which outputs are active.I

Product performed as expected. I just threw a set of bookshelf speakers on it. Sounds good, in my garage. Using the tuner, a CD player, Bluetooth and a turntable in it. Would’ve given 5 starts if it had a phono preamp integrated into it....but I understand not putting those features in when no one uses vinyl anymore. Thanks. Great all around product. Thanks.
