This freezer is very big, and has all of the storage space you could need.

Insignia Freezer/Refrig selectable, 21 cu ft, recently purchased. I am using it in freezer mode and monitoring with the Wi-Fi ap. Took about 3 days to get everything to 0 degrees. Set to 0 degrees and varies 0-3 degrees with the app. The inside food is 0-1 degree. Unit goes to 6 degrees (Wifi) when in defrost mode. Food only gets to 3 degrees when in defrost. Defrost last about 20 minutes. Unit runs at 93.4 watts except in defrost when hits 343 watts. Looks like the energy rating is right on the money. I am also monitoring with Smartthings temp monitor and Aeron energy switch. Pleased very much so far. WiFi & app works with my Android phone and Ipad tablet.

Nice and large. Wifi and open door signal great! Interior design terrible. There is more than a foot between each shelf, it’s hazardous to stack that high. Basket in bottom is loose, not on any track, no stop. Pull it more than 50% out and again it’s a hazard.

I have not had this for a very long time (2 months) and have had no issues with the operations to date. So this review is to comment on the delivered unit. I purchased this online and not in the store and the two disappointing issues would have affected my purchasing decision if I would have known. The first thing I found disappointing when they unboxed it was the lack of any cover to protect the motor. I live in a rural area and during the winter we will get mice that try to come in from the snow and look for warmth. This unit’s motor has no cover to prevent them from building a nest next to the warm motor. I had this happen to an refrigerator motor and it cause it to burn out so this is now something I pay attention too. I had to go to Home Depot and purchase metal screening to cover the back to protect the motor but allow air flow. The second disappointment was with the digital display on the door is only for selection of freezer or refrigerator operation and setting the temp desired. Why would you not have this report the current interior temperature and have an alarm tied to it? That was one of the things that make me look at the unit in the first place. I will say that if I had known both of these issues before I purchased it online, I would have continued shopping for something else. It pays to go into the story and look and ask questions.

We had been searching for an economical and budget friendly refrigerator to store our produce and stumbled upon this freezer/refrigerator combination. This was one of the best investments we've made. Easily converts from refrigerator to freezer at the touch of a button.

Love, love, LOVE this refridgerator. I have a large extended family and the ability to hold massive amounts of food in various stages of prep is amazing. Less waste because you can see everything and nothing gets lost.

We comparison shopped & this was the best value for the money. Freezer is huge & we love the storage space. We love that it can be a fridge or a freezer with the switch of a button. Temp alarm is great & love that I can connect it with wifi to my phone if needed.

The freezer itself is nice and BIG. Installation went fine, but getting the wifi working was another story. The app had trouble finding it after you connect to the wifi network it makes; I ended up having to delete the app and reinstall it for that to work. Then it wouldn't join my primary SSID. I had run out of ideas so I set up a guest network on my WiFi, and for some reason that worked. It took waaay too long to get that part set up. Overall, I like it, and the wifi feature is nice to see what's going on with it, but getting it working was a huge pain.

We needed a freezer with good interior volume, but all the major brands' large upright freezers were just a couple inches too wide for the floor space we had. This freezer was just tidier enough in external width and depth to fit perfectly, yet the interior width and depth were still just right. This freezer gains its enormous volume by being taller than the others. It's not so tall that the top shelf is difficult to use, but we definitely aren't putting anything we need to get to on top. We were worried about this freezer not having a lock to ensure it stays closed, but when the door closes, vacuum pressure ensures it closes well and doesn't leave any doubt that it'll stay shut. Very happy with it!

Huge freezer. Holds so much. I saw concerns with the shelves. Mine are stacked with no problem. It is quiet. Door slots hold a lot and the bottom basket is really nice for the big things. The delivery men were prompt, caring and gracious!

We use this as a refrigerator because we wanted to have lots of extra refrigerator space. It’s nice that we can switch this to be a freezer if needed as well. So far we are happy with our purchase of this spacious fridge.

I needed a spare refrigerator for my garage and didn’t want a typical refrigerator with the freezer on top. I just wanted a fridge. This works perfect for that. I bought the 21 CU. FT. Model and it is huge!

The freezer is placed in an unheated garage and is working perfectly. The setup for the WiFi was simple. The only complaint that I have is that the Phone App reports the freezer is in refrigerator mode and not freezer mode.

We are very happy we purchased this Insignia convertible freezer/refrigerator. We are currently using it as our garage fridge. We love it! We will probably purchase a second one to use as a freezer.

So great to just bring freezer food right into the garage instead of downstairs to the basement. Peace of mind knowing circuit didn’t trip n lose power. Lots of room so no more stressing on freezer space. It’s a win win

The door doesn’t close properly. It’s likely that it’s just such a big door, but you have to either push it hard or manually close it... Also the shelves flex a little and they’re only about half filled up...

Only bought it 4 weeks ago, but I am happy with the purchase. Front information panel helpful. Has Quick Freeze function which works extremely well. Only problem is working with WiFi function.

Solid unit, really nice to have the option of fridge or freezer use. My only wish is the shelves were sturdier. They sag a bit if you put too many cans on them. Works well in our garage.
