    I have not had this for a very long time (2 months) and have had no issues with the operations to date. So this review is to comment on the delivered unit. I purchased this online and not in the store and the two disappointing issues would have affected my purchasing decision if I would have known. The first thing I found disappointing when they unboxed it was the lack of any cover to protect the motor. I live in a rural area and during the winter we will get mice that try to come in from the snow and look for warmth. This unit’s motor has no cover to prevent them from building a nest next to the warm motor. I had this happen to an refrigerator motor and it cause it to burn out so this is now something I pay attention too. I had to go to Home Depot and purchase metal screening to cover the back to protect the motor but allow air flow. The second disappointment was with the digital display on the door is only for selection of freezer or refrigerator operation and setting the temp desired. Why would you not have this report the current interior temperature and have an alarm tied to it? That was one of the things that make me look at the unit in the first place. I will say that if I had known both of these issues before I purchased it online, I would have continued shopping for something else. It pays to go into the story and look and ask questions.

    Good features but troubleshooting issue

    Really liked the reasonable price and feature set of this item with wifi app connectivity and ability to change the unit from freezer to refridgerator mode. Research online showed many other happy customers and mention of purchasing two units to have one in fridge mode and one in freezer mode. Works well for me as a freezer but so far it has switched itself from freezer to fridge mode two times while the control panel was locked. Would have been nice if the app provided push notifications to let me know it changed modes. First time all contents defrosted and some items has to be discarded. Second time we caught after warming ten degrees. Support folks were prompt at responding to provide assistance which we are still working through. I'm hoping support will have a firmware update or some other fix otherwise I will just have them replace it with a new one. Definitely would want another one and would give full stars and recommendation when fixed.

    Good Freezer

    When it was delivered, one of the guys noticed something sticking on the door like left over tape. As he cleaned it off, there was a scratch underneath that tape. It was white in color like someone from the factory tried to cover it up. I downloaded the app to my phone, then tried (over and over again), to get the freezer app to display, but nothing happened. So much that. The freezer works very well, but sometimes the door is hard to open and you have to place one hand on the side of the freezer as a brace, and pull with the other hand. The freezer is very roomy and the food stays cold like it is supposed to, and those are the most important things. It is in the garage and that doesn't seem to be a problem except now, I have less room in my man cave. It was on sale, so for the price it is okay. I wouldn't buy it at the full price. If all you are looking for is a big freezer and not interested in using the app, then this is for you. If you are into smart appliances, you might want to check other appliances out. So, I recommend it as a freezer only.

    Display and wireless a letdown. Racks weak.

    I bought 2 of these. 1 operating as a freezer and 1 operating as a refrigerator. The units operate fine. The display is below expectations. It does not display the actual temperature inside, only your set point. The wireless function has yet to work properly, so no points there either. The racks for the food storage are of inferior design and do not hold much weight without bending. Had I reviewed these on the show floor I would have probably bought a better product. These are not top of the line, well engineered and manufactured, but they are not the lowest end either. Either way, I am stuck with them. Will see if they hold up. I know the racks won’t.

    First one had issues, replacement was better

    The first one that was sent to us randomly on its own switched into fridge mode and we lost all the food and Brest milk that thawed out. Replacement was sent to us and haven’t had an issue yet

    Great freezer but frustrated

    We love the spacious freezer but the WiFi feature doesn’t work. It just keeps switching it to fridge mode if the WiFi is connected.
