Have had this for almost a month and we are very pleased with it. With 21 cubic feet of storage, we shouldn’t run out of space anytime soon, and with the shelves, interior lighting, door open warning and the option of either freeze or refrigerator, it is quite a bargain! We use it as a freezer, and the only “complaint” we have is it takes a pretty good pull to open the door! But that is both good and bad news, as the intensity of the seal is reflected in how difficult it is to open the door. Too easy to open means a poor seal, so, I’ll take a strong seal and a little more effort to open the door! All in all, we are very satisfied with this freezer and strongly recommend it.

This is our second and third purchase of this product, we needed more storage and this fridge/freezer is perfect. The fact it is rated for in the garage use to allow it to be in colder or hotter Temperatures and still keep things atvthe right temp. The temperature lcd on the front makes things easy to know what the temp is!!

There are not a lot of choices for just fridges (most have some combo of fridge / freezer). I wish they made this in stainless but this was perfect for our garage and pricing was solid. Great so far - we use it only as a fridge.

Great product. Packaged well. Easy to unwrap, set up, and level feet. Quick and simple applying door handle. User friendly instructions to set desired temperature. Suction on door is strong and durable. Maintains temperature accurately and easy cleaning and wiping exterior. Overall, would recommend for quality and can’t beat the great price.

I kept on searching and searching for an additional fridge: I just wanted the space, no additional ice maker, water lines, etc. I did not even think of Best Buy, until I remember their great warranty. What a pleasant surprise: a spacious fridge/freezer convertible, for an affordable price! Fast delivery and my fridge was cold in no time. Thank you Best Buy!

Works really good no issues, great freezer with a lot of storage.

Delivery was right on time, excellent communication! We’re using it as a freezer. Roomy, well lit, shelves are sturdy, and I love that they and the drawers are clear. Door compartments are ample in number, but not very deep, which is also fine. Holds temp where it’s supposed to, as checked by a thermometer that I placed inside. I LOVE that the adjustments are on the outside of the door, instead of on the inside back wall (like our other freezer) which is buried behind a wall of meat 90% of the time.

This freezer/ refrigerator is amazing. The quality, the seal, the option to use as either component is brilliant. Perfect freezer for my large household.

Huge Freezer/Fridge, could not believe how large it is at 21 cu.ft. It’s Crazy! Now I feel I have more room for storage than ever like easily can hold 6months of food for two people. Highly recommended in a household of 4 or more people for at least 3month supply. Only complaint is the door is super tight shut and so when you pull it the whole fridge moves if it’s on a flat concrete surface of garage or basement. You may need to install stoppers..otherwise it was the “Best” Buy (wink wink!) oh yes Insignia is Best Buy company.

I like the fact that I can choose either option for the same appliance. I need a freezer right now and it works great under my carport as a secondary storage source for things bought on sale, but if my fridge in the house went out I would be able to substitute this one in no time. It is actually a chest freezer turned on end with horizontal shelving replacing the cargo baskets. It has ample room, a very good door seal, and easy to use temp controls. Overall a very good buy! ... Now let's see if it lasts as long as my old chest freezer!

Fantastic value for a fantastic piece of equipment. We bought this to be a freezer. I've been shopping for months and when I saw this pop up as available and cheaper then others, I figured I'd give it a try. Boy am I glad I did. You can fit a LOT in this thing. The door is a tight seal. You have to put some muscle into opening it, which I see as a good thing. The interior could use some bins or dividers to get the most use of the space, but that's common for this type of freezer. Installation through BestBuy was a snap. No issues at all. Overall I'd buy this again in an instant if I needed a second one.

This has been the perfect garage freezer for storing our beef!

No problems at all with it since we got it last month. It’s got a ton of room for our family and I like the fact you can easily see the temp on the door. I went with a completely different seller and brand this go round. Our old freezer was a lemon (3 repairs the first year) and would heat up with no warning causing food to start thawing out. That won’t be an issue with this one because it’s easy to keep track of it. Great price, easy delivery, cheap haul away of the lemon. I’d definitely recommend this item!

This freezer has been fantastic! We fit 1/3 of a beef in it without issue plus lots of other stuff. The digital controls and thermometer on the outside are great too.

The size is perfect. The handles wiggle when trying to open the door. The seal is tight which makes it hard to open at times, but I'm ok with it. I am however disappointed with the display. I assumed it would show me the interior temperature so I would know it is running properly. It does not! Only displays the 'set' temperature when you try to open the door. So, in order to make sure it is running, I keep a thermostat on the inside, and have to open the door to see what it is. And it is not always what I have it set for. Seems it's not calibrated properly. Very disappointing.

Love this freezer. No problems so far. Just purchased Dec 2025.

This Insignia freezer is not only beautiful, it works great. The price, a great break for the Best Buy brand, was a welcome added feature. The door lock feature is great. It keeps you from leaving it open accidentally and also keeps kids or family members with dementia from leaving it open. Unlocking is simple. I highly recommend this freezer.
