Freezer / refrigerator actually works very good. The problem is when the door closes it has a lot of suction and takes a good amount of force to reopen it. The handle on my 10 month old unit broke off. The handle is made of cheap plastic. Called Bestbuy -Insignia and they say they don’t cover handles under warranty. Forcing me to buy a $45 defective part. Thanks Bestbuy

This is my second refrigerator/freezer convertible. I use one for each function. I LOVE it. The only complaint I have is the doors are not reversible. I would have given 5 stars otherwise.

Nice freezer! Larger than expected, but a welcomed surprise!

Came in damaged. I have had best out multiple times to replace the pieces that were damaged but they keep ordering the incorrect part to fix it. Should be a simple fix by them as it is one shelf that broke. It’s the bottom one that holds the draws. They keep ordering the shelves that do not hold the draws. Been ordered multiple times. Customer service does not communicate with the repair people either. I have been told they will bring the right part but then they ship it to me.

I needed a freezer at the time they did have the one I want it in stock. I waited for it to come in and I am glad I waited. Love my new freezer. Thank you Best Buy.

This fridge has the potential to be great, but comes up short in the refrigeration part. It is one of the few Fridge-Only units available that is both convertible AND Garage Ready. While it checked all the boxes for what we were looking for, we had to RMA our first one due to the unit never getting below 45F even though it was set to the coldest setting of 35F. Techs confirmed that the unit was not blowing cold enough air even in the Freezer setting, and the RMA was completed. The new unit held a cool 38F for about 2 days (even though set to the lowest setting of 35F) before bouncing up to 40F which is considered the minimum recommended value for food safety. Since there are no other options available, we are stuck with this one until we can afford a different one. It makes an ok drink fridge, but anything perishable has a shorter shelf life due to the average temp range.

It seems pretty simple. We want to use one of these as a refrigerator and another one as a freezer for our garage. Getting the first unit took some time. Delivery dates were canceled by BestBuy without telling us multiple times. Then, it finally arrived. I purchased a fridge thermometer to be sure that proper temperatures were maintained for food safety. It's a good thing I did that because the fridge (even though it's set to the lowest setting of 35-degrees) doesn't cool below 40-degrees. It hovers between 40-45 degrees, which is outside the safety zone for a refrigerator. I spent an hour on the phone with BestBuy, then Insignia. Insignia scheduled a repairman to come to inspect the unit. I waited all day long only to find out that they had canceled the repair without telling me a thing. Again, I sat around ALL DAY LONG and nobody had the decency to call or text me. I then called BestBuy and insisted they send out a replacement unit. They agreed and delivered a replacement unit yesterday. Guess what -- the dumb thing doesn't cool below 40 degrees either. I'm beyond frustrated at this point because we can't comfortably use this as a refrigerator if it won't maintain safe temperatures. Our 20 yr old current side-by-side in the garage cools to 33 degrees, no problem. How can this actually pass as a refrigerator if it can't reach safe food storage temperatures?!?! We haven't tested it as a freezer, but it seems as if most people use it that way and it freezes just fine (apparently). I think this second one needs to go back to BestBuy and we will have to find something else. BE WARNED... THE REFRIGERATOR DOESN'T MAINTAIN SAFE FOOD TEMPERATURES.

Great in freezer mode. I have a smaller one I use as a fridge and it works great too. The freezer/fridge convertible is a great product.

Good value like the convertible function...fits in garage space nicely

This is my 2nd purchase, one used as a freezer and this purchase is to be used as a refrigerator. They are wonderful looking and work great.

I have this fridge in my garage for about a week now. The current weather is 75 degrees inside the garage. This fridge temperature stays in the 40s. The lowest setting is 35 degrees. This thing does NOT work well. If you’re looking to use this as a second fridge. Look else where! I ordered a different brand that was more $$. Bestbuy is taking this back and brining my new one.

Working well as a freezer. Fits all product needs.

I purchased this fridge Nov 1, 2019 (29 days ago) and have it in refrigerator mode. The lowest I can set it in this mode is 35 degrees but it won’t actual cool below 43 degrees. I have 2 thermometers in the fridge to monitor the temperature and the both say the same thing. The fridge is only 1/10th filled. Geek squad will come out to troubleshoot but I bet you it won’t go well. This thing is either going back as soon as they tech it out. Last time I buy a cheap insignia product. I should have known better. Don’t but this product; you have been warned.
