My wife setup a home office for herself. She wanted a small TV to have on a bookshelf next to her desk. We got this on sale.
It's perfect for what she wanted. It's very lightweight and the sound and picture are fine for close viewing next to her desk.
Hard to beat for the price!

Got this Tv as a "Deal of the Day" for less then the cost of a computer monitor of similar size. I always like it when things have more than just a single use. As a computer monitor the 1080p resolution is sharp, colors are good, videos play well, and the screen is bright and easily viewable from a couple of feet. As a Tv the picture has very good color, nice dark blacks, a nice array of settings to tweak things, relatively quick channel changes and startup time, and it even has a standby light that can be either turned on or off to eliminate those pesky lights in the bedroom. This Tv is very light and easily transportable or mountable. The remote works well and has quick access buttons to for things like aspect and sound. Speaker sound is surprisingly good. Not much bass of course but clear and actually quite loud.
If you simply don't need a large Tv, have a tight budget, a small space, and you don't need all the bells and whistles you might want to check this one out.

Needed to replace kitchen TV that resides on top of fridge. This one is just the right size. Hard to believe it is half the weight of previous flatscreen. The picture is stunning and audio is very good. The setup is almost scary it is so simple.

This TV is full HD for well under $100, which is a great value. The overall quality is excellent and the remote has nice big buttons. I bought it to replace an old SD 20” CRT TV that blew up with a loud pop, so needless to say the improvement in image quality is massive. The old TV was connected to an Insignia external digital over-the-air broadcast TV tuner, which was connected to an Insignia indoor antenna. I connected this antenna directly to the new TV, but the results are not as good as some channels that I used to receive strongly are now constantly breaking up or not working at all. Since the antenna is in the same location, the problem has to be with the TV tuner. The only issue I have with the image is that the viewing angle is nowhere near the claimed 178 degrees, perhaps 100 degrees at best, after which it washes out badly. The Quick Setup Guide claims that 4 M4 screws are included, but in fact they are just tapping screws for mounting the 2 feet, so if you use a wall mount you need to provide your own screws. I have also connected a DVD player with an HDMI cable and an old VHS tape player with composite cables. Switching between inputs with the TV remote is very easy. There is a detailed User Guide, but I needed help from Insignia customer service to find it and then download the pdf to my PC. Overall, I am very pleased with this Insignia TV, and would recommend it anyone needing an inexpensive basic small TV.

A small, inexpensive TV was wanted for an area with limited space. This fit the bill. Overall, set up of the TV was easy, but the options for attaching a sound bar were limited. The sound bar cable's aux adapter would not stay seated in the connection point on the TV, so the cable had to be replaced with a standard 3.5mm aux cable. The operating instructions were not helpful in getting the TV to work with the sound bar. Eventually, the correct setting in the onscreen menu was stumbled upon. On the plus side, the TV has VESA mounting points for attaching it to a wall mount or monitor arm. Overall, this was a satisfactory purchase.

Five-star review for the picture quality and sound. Excellent for a small room. We wanted two HDMI inputs to accomodate a new streaming device and DVD player, so this small TV was perfect. My only worry was that the stands might not be stable because a few reviewers had criticized them. However, our experience was completely satisfactory and the TV doesn't wobble at all. This was a present for my wife and she is very pleased with this small TV.

Overall this is a very good HD television. Unlike others in this size and price class, this model is a full 1080p high definition (rather then the common 720p) television.
The tuner is sensitive enough to pull in marginal stations, and the image quality is very good. The set has two HDMI inputs, and while not a lot, is enough to connect to a computer and DVD player.
There are a few advanced features missing. For example, while there are several display modes (movie, game, standard, etc.), there is no option to individually set each color. When you consider the price, however, the features included are impressive.
I use the set at both a TV and a computer monitor, and it works extremely well for both. In fact, I liked the television so much that I purchased a second one a month later.
Highly recommended!

I bought this to replace an older TV in my kitchen. This TV has a bigger screen, is lighter (helpful when dusting), uses less power, provides better audio and has a much nicer picture. I thought I read in the description that it was 720p but when I turned it on and plugged it into my cable box, an onscreen message said 1080p. I can’t say which is correct but it works great for a television of this size.

I wanted a basic TV with 1080 resolution, good picture, decent sound for a small room. One with lots of inputs and outputs that could handle QAM, NTSC, and ATSC signals. I'm very pleased with this unit. Sure, it has some minor bugs -- the quoted horizontal and vertical angles are obviously wrong. +/- 45 degrees from center line is a much more realistic value. And, some of the options provided in the menu may only be available in more expensive models Overall, I think it's an excellent value if you're looking for a simple set.

I have this in my kitchen. It replaced a 19" Dynex which served its purpose.
Pros: Small but "big," easy to set up, 1080p screen, value for
money, sound is sufficient for size, accommodates HDMI
peripherals (e.g. Roku)
Cons: Off-axis viewing yields color shifting
Overall, I would definitely buy again. Even at full price, this set is a decent value. Personally, I would pay more for a better panel but I know any price increase might limit its appeal. I'm looking forward to many years of service from this set.

I’m very impressed with this little tv. I’m aware it can be easier to interpret a good picture on small screens yet this pic quality exceeds my expectations. Solid blacks, bright enough whites(it is an LED-lit LCD after all), and fairly natural colors. 1080p at this size is a rarity although it’s difficult(if at all) to tell the difference from 720p at 32” and below(this is 22”). Still happy to have it: some 720 sets struggle with 1080 sources. No such issue here. Motion clarity is good to despite being only 60hz refresh rate(standard). Today’s tvs tend to have quicker response(less lag) and related issues than the LCDs of the past so a 120 refresh is not quite as vital. Fast motion depiction isn’t perfect, and no LCD or OLED TV set to 60hz will be for sports and such, but it’s good enough and better than I expected. For the confused out there all LED TVs are LCDs. LED only refers to the backlighting, LCDs used to use fluorescent, now they use brighter more efficient LED. My other 3 HD tvs are mid-line Panasonics from 2013-2014 with true 120hz refresh rates. Yes their pic quality is better in practicality every way and better for sports/nature/reality but it’s not dramatic. Those tvs were rated amoung the best in pic quality at their regular price points. This Insignia is a budget tv that punches way above its class. I’m shocked at the sound quality. It’s clean, not harsh or tinny. Light on bass of course and it won’t blow you away but not desperate for a sound bar like most modern tvs are. My 3 Panasonic’s sound absolutely awful; this Insignia sounds much better than all of those and they’re 40”, 50”, & 55”. Of course I have rose hooked to decent sound systems but the Insignia is just a kitchen tv.
This tv is a bargain at regular price which easily earns it 4 stars for overall value(would be 5 if it had built in Roku or FireTV). Considering I paid only $60 this is a 5 star value for me. Thank you Best Buy

The perfect size TV for that small spot when nothing else will fit. This little 22in. TV as a great picture Although it's not. 4K quality it does. A great job and can be put just about anywhere in the house. The TV also weighs practically nothing which is greatly appreciated. Especially after trying to move my qled. And install that without dropping it. . Frontier

I have waited over a month to write my review, because I wanted to put it through the paces. I use this TV in my office, and it has been on daily since the day I bought it. It usually gets powered on around 7 am and doesn't get shut off until after 11 pm, sometimes staying on overnight, and it has handled the over usage perfectly so far. The picture is beautiful, even sitting rather close (about 4 feet away). Supper easy plug and play setup, and all the usual picture options you'd expect. AND you can turn on the TV speakers even if you have external speakers plugged in, to give you a little more voice sound replicating a center speaker in my case I couldn't be happier with the quality and price of this great little TV.

Great basic tv. Nice and small. We placed this on the wall over our breakfast nook. Volume is slightly low even when all the way up but it’s not a dealbreaker, especially for the cheap price I paid and the tv size. I hooked my digits antennae and fire stick to the tv and turned it into a smart tv.

I was looking for a monitor as an extra screen for my laptop, while working from home. Decided to try out this TV instead (had been using my 40" TV with google chrome, but the lag time was rough to get past).
I have never owned this brand before. Was hoping I wouldn't be disappointed, and I have not. I went with the 1080p based on research I had done, that said if you want to use your TV with your computer, fork out a couple extra dollars and get the 1080p, over the lesser. I did want a slightly larger screen, but I also didn't want to pay a whole lot either, so beggars can't be choosers.
I have to work with the TV on game mode to get the screen to display the way that I want it to. In this mode the colors seem a bit off (unrealistic, if you will), very bright. However, in other modes the color is a lot better. If I try to adjust the color in game mode, it doesn't display the screen the way I want. Even so, the picture is very, very clear. Super easy to use, once you get past the TV setup. The bonus of this TV, is that, when I'm done using it as a monitor, it will be a TV again.

I bought this tv to use in our rv for the kids bunks. It is terrific because it is very slim and weighs nothing. Very easy to use the settings, and very easy to mount. Despite the extreme heat of summer and freezing temps in winter and sitting in storage it always works perfectly.

I bought this to replace a 20+ year old 30" old style square TV in my spare bedroom (which still works, but, need something with better picture). Did not want to spend much for something almost never used. When I took it out of the box I wasn't sure it was real it was so light. It was extremely easy to set up. The picture is fantastic. Sure, not 4K, but, do you really need that in a bedroom? It's nice that it has 2 HDMI so you can hook up a Firestick or Blueray (I have an extra). Sure, not a smart TV, but, I got it on sale for $59.99, and, come on, do you watch all that much in the bedroom? Get a Firestick.
Picture is excellent, easy to adjust, connected to the Spectrum remote easily. Not particularly loud, but, loud enough, and the sound is not bad at all for such a small TV. Better than some bigger ones.
It's nice enough that I might switch it with the 720P one I have in my bedroom, same size. It's a great little extra TV, whether for a bedroom, kitchen, or, if you really need to, the bathroom! :)

I asked for a TV for Christmas in 1968, my parents got me a small black and white TV for $50, I think it was a 11" screen size.
Fast forward 51 years and I see this TV at Best Buy on a Pre Black Friday sale for $59. The price and being a full 1080p screen caught my eye. I picked it up and we installed the TV on a kitchen counter underneath the cabinets. We had an extra Roku box to hook it up with.
The screen looks great with excellent detail. Surprisingly the speakers sound great - much better than I expected.
If you need a small TV this is a great choice. Catch it on sale and you'll also get a great price. How Insignia/Best Buy can build such a great small TV for a price rivaling that of the tiny TV I had in 1968 is impressive. Good job!
