The contrast on this TV was just not that great and movies or shows with a lot of dark scenes didn't look good.

Second time they gave me what they called "brand new" one. When I got home I turned it on and I saw this screen was totally broken and not working at all. Then who's gonna pay for my travel expense by returning this horrible TV twice!

Posted .I am sorry to hear of the repeat issues. It sounds like the first set may have been a display model, or something along those lines. Because issues like these do happen on occasion, Best Buy does have a 14 day return/exchange policy to help resolve these problems. - Jon, Insignia Support.

Can’t tell a difference between it and my 54 inch TV for watching shows, using the laptop, or DVDs. Needed something I could use so that I can watch TV and use my laptop at the same time.

The first unit I bought had a bad power supply though which makes me worried about the quality control at the factory. Best Buy was amazingly unapologetic about the defective unit when I returned it. Glad to have it working now, but not a good purchasing experience.
