It's got the worst display I've ever seen

I basically can't use it. It's that bad. I wasted my money and I thought I was saving money. I didn't think any company would let such a display off the production line and into the store. I was wrong. Now I'm stuck with it.

Our old 19 " kitchen TV vibrated off its wall stand, so we purchased the 24" Insignia based on small size and the picture quality seemed ok. We DID NOT realize that TV's are now made with the speakers in the back or bottom. (Trying to force customers to buy a sound bar etc.) With limited space in the kitchen, that is the last thing we want is something taking up space. VERY Disappointed in having to crank u[p the sound to distorted values just to try to hear the spoken words.

Brought the tv home and it did not work. No picture, no power going to it. Nothing. Took it back to Best Buy, they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Returned it and bought another brand.

Bad purchase. Will buy from Costco in the future. The tv which we had to use asap came with one mounting screw pushed into the tv. When you move the tv you hear the screw moving around...

We are sorry to hear of the issue you are having. In the event that there is a issue with the case threading, I would refer you to take the unit into the Geek Squad at your local Best Buy for them to exchange if within 15 day return/exchange policy, or review the unit under the 1 year manufacturer warranty. – Jon, Insignia Support

I bought this for $110 from a Cyber Monday deal that Best Buy was having. I was buying a TV for my apartment room as Im in college. The size is perfect for small areas like a kitchen or dorm room. My apartment room isnt the biggest room ever but its not that small either. I thought that 24" was good for my room but it looks pretty small in my room. I think a 28 or 32 wouldve been more suitable, but my budget was $120 and 24" is just fine.
PROS:
- 1080p. I was not going to settle for 720p. I dont care if theres minimal difference. For me it was 1080p or nothing.
-2 HDMIs. For the price, 2 HDMIs is awesome!
-USB port. HDMI+USB.....if you have a chromecast like I do. You really cant ask for anything more.
-Good stand
-Small bezzles
-Headphone jack. (I'll talk about this in the cons)
-GLOW IN THE DARK REMOTE BUTTONS. This was completely unexpected. One of my floormates actually have the 38" version of this TV and their remote is a normal remote and that is what I was expecting. But when I opened the box, I saw the VOL, CH, and power buttons were lightly green and I immediately went to test it out and boom! They're glow in the dark. I love that feature.
CONS
-60hz. Watching the NBA and NFL and UEFA champions league and theres obvious motion-ghosting. I knew that before buying and I dont really care that much. But for those of you who do care, its there. I have a 120hz and 240hz TV back and home and the difference is noticeable but again....$110 is a steal.
-Sound is.....below average. Even for my room, the sound is pretty lame. I mean its nothing to complain about for $110. But its pretty tinny sounding. It gets pretty loud but it'll just sound awful and hurt your ears. If youre getting this for a dorm room, have some speakers ready. Literally any external speaker will sound better than this.
*The reason I love that theres a headphone jack is because I have a UE Megaboom and I just hook up my speaker to the TV via my aux cable. Wayyyyyyyyyyyy better sound then.
I ordered this during the holiday rush with standard 6 day shipping and somehow it came in TWO(2) DAYS. Crazy. Youre awesome Best Buy!
Highly recommend this TV!

I should have known by how light the box was. Very cheap quality. You can get better screens for this price. Not worth it, I returned it.

This is a cheap TV that comes with 12v low voltage outlet but the design is horrible. Once you mounted the TV, it will not able to unscrew and move to another place or else all of the screw stuns will fall inside the TV eventually will creates short-circuit.

Insignia puts out a great product. I have owned several insignia tvs in different sizes and have to say, I have enjoyed every one. I purchased this tv last week or so for gaming and love it. I have played on sizes from 24"-65" and prefer the smaller screen. It's 1080p and the response time is awesome which provides quick gameplay and absolutely no lag at all. I know the difference between input lag/response time and refresh rate, so being 60 hz means nothing since I own a 250 hz tv and have to dumb it down to get the input lag down. I have two insignia 24" tvs and this one I am reviewing is a lot lighter than previous model. It's a tad thicker, but don't care about how thick a tv is when it's strictly for gaming and not mounted on the wall in living room. The one thing I will say is that it is Super Light! I mean I picked it up and started giggling it was unnaturely light.. The previous model appears to be a better build, but color, response, and clarity are just as good if not better. Love this little TV and will continue buying insignia tvs for gaming in the future.

Cannot rate the product because it arrived broken. Was told to return it to a Best Buy store. Then after riding 40 miles to a store was told they do not accept BestBuy.com returns. After much discussion was told to get a replacement off shelf, but surprise! they did not have a replacement and was offered opportunity to pay an additional $20 bucks for a different model. Then was offered a refund on a gift card before finally being given my money back. Total disaster.

We're truly sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience when exchanging the TV set after it was damaged out of the box. All Best Buy stores are required to take back products even if purchased online, nonetheless, it's great to hear that you took advantage of Best Buy's 15 Return/Exchange policy. I bought this so my parents could use Chromecast in the kitchen but this was definitely not 1080p HD quality. I returned it and bought them a computer monitor with built-in speakers and they love it much better.
The price on this was OK but it isn't HD quality.

I purchased this TV to replace a 22 Samsung 1080p that lasted less than 2 years. In my opinion the quality of this TV's picture is equal to the Samsung. The remote is simple and well laid out making it easy to set up and operate the TV. I actually bought another Samsung but it did not fit in the same space. I also bought another TV but returned it because the picture was neither sharp nor accurate in color. Last but not least I want to review the sound. The sound is as good as can be expected in a TV this small and can be adjusted to make it sign a bit more solid.

Super Nice TV for Tailgating
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I bought this TV for tailgating at a pro-football game because it had DC input and I can run it off my car battery. I also purchased 100 watt cigarette lighter inverter and a simple, non-amplified antenna. I hooked up the antenna and plugged the TV into the power inverter and did a channel search and the TV found 25 channels including several high definition channels. The picture was really nice. Kind of unbelievable coming directly over the air and not on cable or satellite. I was able to watch the pre-game show on High Def from the parking lot of the stadium. I calculated the power the TV needed (about 50 watts) and was easily able to watch a couple of hours of the pre-game show without risk to my car battery. Very good TV for this setup. Thanks!
