Stainless steel finish has started to peel within 3 years of purchase. I bought a five year protection plan and Best Buy says it’s not covered. Do not buy.

First, after working the kinks out this dishwasher is great. I can't believe how quiet it is, and the end dishes are really clean and clear, polished. But nobody mentions this so everyone buying this should be aware: see that toe plate you installed below the door? Notice on the far right, behind it, there is a steam vent ? Yes that's right.....this appliance steams directly to the back felt on the toeplate.....no opening or anything exists to let the steam out. I had to drill a hole to let the air vent to my kitchen rather than soaking the electrical box inside. Seems like they are begging for a lawsuit ?

Lett me start by stating the only reason I am not giving this 5 starts is because I have very little to compare it against for performance. My previous unit, affectionately referred to as Mr. Roper, did a very good job washing, but was rather old and loud. My new Insignia is MUCH quieter. But even with all the adjustable things, it almost seems like it holds less. I just find it awkward for Tupperware and glassware. Also, I have little to wash so I don't run it daily, but it's really hard to tell if it is taking the full length of time or less (auto/normal wash should adjust to the needs of the load). I bought this because it does have one of the highest efficiency ratings. And nothing in black stainless with a 3rd rack even came close to this in price. The 3rd rack is nice and they are the only model that actually said you don't really need to put the silverware in all the little slots. You can put them in however you like, but the little slots are nice too. My unit was delivered damaged and I am very glad I asked them to unbox it while they were here (we were planning to install it ourselves). The damage was in the back and didn't impact the function. After taking the time to install it and test it, I opted to keep it for a discount. Overall, I am very happy. But it didn't make me do back flips with how much more awesome this was than Mr. Roper. Just MUCH quieter, prettier and more efficient. I would still recommend this to anyone. And I love Best Buy for their awesome return policies and price match. You really can't go wrong.

Got this as our anniversary present. Replaced an old Whirlpool that never really got dishes clean. It’s beautiful, stylish and works great. Has the features that we wanted: smudge-resistant stainless, stainless interior, and garbage disposal in the bottom so you don’t have to wash the dishes first. Machine is so quiet it has a blue light projected on the floor so you can tell it’s on. An added bonus is cool blue interior light. Gets the dishes clean! Price was great, ordered in-house at B.B. and picked it up a couple of days later. Self-installed with the kit I picked up in store, no problem.

I bought this in January 2018. By June 2018, it was leaking out of the bottom of the door area. I looked under the door and the insulation is exposed. (Actually it's entirely exposed on the bottom of the door area) Also, there is a rubber semi-gasket inside at the door that flips out of place, which lets the water leak out of the tub. I call it a semi-gasket, because it's only a short piece of gasket on the bottom, about 1-1/2 inches long. The water leaks, saturates the insulation, then drips out of the left front door area. A couple of weeks ago, I tried to arrange a service call on another appliance I bought at the same time :-/ as this dishwasher and BB wanted $99 just to come out, even though it was a warranty call. No way. So I'm going to look for another dishwasher and replace this one. Obviously the next one will not be an Insignia brand, and I probably will stay away from BB, given the $99 charge for a warranty call. I'm upset with myself for buying this in the first place. If I could give this one zero stars, I would. No way would I recommend this to a friend (or an enemy)

Took a chance on this brand since it was much cheaper than the very similar Samsung and Bosch, even tho I couldn’t find out who actually makes Insignia. I’m very pleased with it! Looks great - just like the Bosch actually - and it so quiet I’m not sure if it’s running even when I’m standing right next to it. Makes sense now why there is a blue light under the door when it runs. Third rack is very handy and there are lots of ways to adjust the loading areas. My only issues have been learning how to load items in a new machine (I had my old one for 8 years) and getting used to the touch controls. Happy with my decision!

I was prepared to buy one of the high end models with similar features until I happened to come across this dishwasher. It has pretty much everything I wanted from the other models but at about half the cost. It's very quiet, has plenty of room, and the third rack is also a nice addition for some larger utensils. There are led lights inside and a blue light shines on the floor to let you know it's running. The black stainless steel looks great as well. We've had it for a little over a month and so far I can't find anything to complain about.

I have always been a loyal Insignia customer. So when my dishwasher broke after only 4 years and it cost more to fix than to replace, I decided to give a trusted brand a try. I cannot say how upset and disappointed I am right now. While the dishwasher has everything I needed in a dishwasher, including some pretty cool features I did not need, it only worked twice before it threw an error code that rendered it useless. That's right. I ran the thing twice in 4 days and then it stopped working. There is no information on how to fix the error code in the manual or online and absolutely NO ONE by phone that can help me get my dishwasher working again. I have to schedule an appointment and wait for someone to come from Geek Squad. To make matters worse, the delivery was a no show on the first and second appointments and then when I called again to schedule delivery a third time, I was told I was going to have to wait another week. On my 4th attempt to get it delivered, after lots of back and forth, it was delivered this past Sunday at 8:30 in the morning. Best Buy blames the delivery drivers, the delivery drivers blame Best buy. The customer is the one that ends up getting screwed. I ran the dishwasher on Monday and again on Wednesday. I have not been able to use it since. I cannot afford nor do I have the time to continue to sit and wait on Best Buy to deliver on ANYTHING any more. I am a disabled single mother to 3 and having a functioning dishwasher is important to me. It is literally painful for me to stand there and hand wash dishes. I researched and made sure that what I was purchasing was a good buy because spending this amount of money was a HUGE purchase for me (it was all of my savings). I thought based on history and the limited reviews that this would be a good buy. I was so wrong.

I was worried as this is a Best Buy house brand, and was concerned about limit review. Pleased to report the unit is working well and cleans on the level of higher priced names brand units. Time will tell about durability. The three trays is amazing! so much more room that our 10 year whirlpool. Very quite can not tell it is running except for the blue indicator light.

This is a very nice dishwasher for the money,well built, nice looking,cleans very well and very quiet. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the top control buttons are way too sensitive and so it's too easy to change the settings, when you are not intending to.

Great dishwasher. Great modern design and fully featured but the digital controls leave a lot to be desired. There's no way way to correct a selection you've made. No cancel or off button. Not intuitive.

Great looking dishwasher. It does a good job with cleaning the dishes, and I like the different setting options. It has an interior light that is kind of nice. I like the adjustable height middle rack. My biggest complaint is the layout of the pegs, especially on the bottom rack. They are too close together on half of the bottom rack and angled in a way that limits what you can put in. Overall, I think it’s pretty good for the price paid.

I absolutely love the dishwasher. Cleans perfectly no pre-cleaning required and the third rack for the items that are small that would otherwise fall through the other racks is absolutely fabulous!

I can stack many more dishes, glasses, cookware and cutlery in this dishwasher than in any other dishwasher I have owned. When using the Regular Wash and Heated Dry cycles, everything comes out clean and dry. I do remove any baked on food first. Otherwise, I just rinse and stack. And, it's super quiet!

This dishwasher does a fantastic job! It is EXTREMELY quiet to boot! Highly recommended. This dishwasher is just as good if not better than the top end models on the market.

June 2020. I have had to have repair out three times now since installing it in October 2019. Still isn’t fixed with a fourth appointment already scheduled. Throws E8 and E9 codes all the time which means I have to unplug it to reset it because a water drop (yes I mean water drop) sat on a button too long. The distributatory valve has been replaced already too. The bottom dish rack and the top one have directional prongs which makes it hard to load dishes other than plates or cups. Would have been better with straight up prongs or some areas wider apart. The one thing I do like about it is the third rack and interior light. I would definitely recommend doing error code research or asking about repair history because this seems to be a problem. I will also never buy a top control board either if water can affect a button .

For the price this dishwasher comes loaded, even a light inside. Which I thought was stupid and unnecessary but will admit it’s super cool. I purchased this for my daughter, (her choice) and really wanted her to get another brand I purchase/recommend often. I will add this brand as a option now.

This is a very cost wise item with alot of features The only con is the manual and the use of the buttons Very poorly written and not explained well we also have drying issues

I love it. its very easy to use and the third rack is great top put baby stuff to wash

Cleans and dries well. Quiet and love 3rd rack. Good price
