I recommend the shortest extension as possible.I also recommend charge I watch using base charger with no extension

Works just fine with the USB-C connector that I bought with it. No problem fitting it into the car socket, and continued to charge my phone for the drive home. Glad I swung by Best Buy when I saw my phone battery was getting low!
