I have been using the Cat5e cables for years and when I went to the Xfinity 1000 Mbps plan I upgraded to the Cat6 Cable throughout the house. As such, I want the patch cables to be a Cat6 as well. Both Cat5e and Cat6 can handle speeds of up to 1000 Mbps, or a Gigabit per second. The main difference between Cat5e and Cat6 cable lies within the bandwidth the cable can support for data transfer. Cat6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz, compared to 100 Mhz for Cat5e. This means that a Cat6 cable can process more data at the same time. Think of it as the difference between a 2-lane and a 4-lane highway. On both, you can drive the same speed, but a 4-lane highway can handle much more traffic at the same time. I have been looking for a cat 5 cable that was long enough to run from my living room to my router in the laundry room. I needed my gaming experience to be faster as I was starting to lag while playing. Since installing this cat 5 I have experienced faster speeds and I am happy with my purchase. I was considering getting a bigger gaming router but this fixed all my issues.

long sleek Gray. You had me at hello 150 ft is plenty enough cable to connect the home office down the hall and around the corner.... to the rest of the world. Easy unraveling due to good packaging . Easy release end connectors snap into place and also unsnap on demand. I would buy it again for my next installation.

I bought this ethernet cable because I started working from home. I have had no issues in connection and my desktop works the exact same as it was when I was in the office. I didn't want to sit next to the router because its in the kitchen. So this ethernet cable and the length provided the perfect solution.

Easily one of the best cables for its price! This is my second one after I bought one over a Year ago. Why did I buy another? It’s not because it stopped working from normal wear and tear, my cat chewed my wire. Otherwise it would have lasted me longer!

This is a great Ethernet cable. I am now able to use my Google Fiber internet service to its full potential. I never dip below 900mbps and the cable has held up very well now for 8 months. Sometimes cables I have ordered in the past form third parties on Amazon break or burn out within a few short months. Not this one!

When I noticed a tenfold difference in my home Internet speed between wifi and wired connectivity, I decided to go back to a standard cable connection instead of using the router for wifi. The cable is long enough for my needs, and I've not noticed any issues with the quality of the construction. This is one of those accessories I hope to never have to worry about or pay attention to again.

This is a really great ethernet cable for Fios Gigabit internet. The long length means I can run it from my router to my TV, DVD and Cable box. But really it works best for gaming on my laptop. I get an average of 900 Mpbs for my internet connection at home.
