I have so many USB devices that need charging. I'm frequently traveling and frequently need my devices charged as quickly as possible. And today more and more devices do not come with chargers (I'm disappointed by this). In addition many companies ship cables that just don't last. High quality cables have become more and more important, as more fast charging standards have come about. Fast chargers simply won't with some cheap cables and some cables that ship with products don't support the faster charging methods. The best cables have a braided cover, this protects the cable, prevents twisting and provides an improved connection at the collar's. The cable included with this charger may be as valuable as the charger itself. The cable is 6' long and rated at 60W, this is sufficient for many notebooks (Some require larger 65W to 100W, but these usually have their own power bricks, not just a USB charger). With the advent of Power Delivery (PD) power supplies, the device, cable, charger and device all work together. The power supply actually negotiates to the device on the cable, first asking can I send you 5V @2A, if this is not responded to the power supply acts like an old style power supply and just sends 5V @1A. If it gets a response back more negations take place with increased amperage and voltage. Increasing the voltage is what allows devices to charge faster. A device that is already fully charged may tell the charger to deliver a 5V1A trickle charge, to prevent over charging. Generally speaking fast charging is only done until your device is 80-90% charged, then it slows down. Lithium Ion batteries last longer when they are not always charged to 100% (and never completely discharged). So behind the scenes there is a lot of communication going on between the device and the charger. I have relied on special charging cables that can actually show me the process to better understand it. In the images Included I'm using a USB cable that identifies the charging method and charging voltage (somewhat hard to see). When charging an iPhone I could see the value go from 5 up to 20 one step at a time, and then bounce around between 18 and 20 until the phone was 80% charged, when it dropped to 5 or less and stayed there. With my Android tablet it was similar, except the PD label was displayed. I'm really happy with this charger, it clearly does what it is supposed to, and the included cable is excellent. The folding prongs make it a perfect travel charger.

Insignia is Best Buy's in-house brand. As a general rule, Insignia gear is close to if not equal in quality to the "name brands" but is generally offered at a discount price. This product fits that bill perfectly. Inside you will find the foldable wall outles and 6' USB cable. The cable is USB-C to USB-C. The cable has a braided outer layer that is generally in the higher quality arena, especially compared to the more common plastic units. The wall plug-in portion is collapsable.This is primarily for ease of portability. The unit has a nice, high quality feel, with a decent enough "heft" providing a sense of quality. As for the fit, the USB-C cable fits into the head unit with a solid, tight feel. I am sure we all have had USB cables (think the expensive airport emergency USB cable you had to buy because you forgot your) that feel flimsy and do not inspire confidence. This is not like that. From a technical perspective, this a 25 watt, 3 amp charger. That is considered a fast-charger and will charge devices fastert han lower watt chargers. I couldn't find the data-rate speed on the cable itself but it certainly seems to move those 0's and 1s with as much speed as I would ever need. End of the day, this is a great choice and I would reccomend to a friend.

This Insignia charger, rated for 25W along with a very nice braided 6 foot USB-C cable that’s rated for up to 60W, is a great choice for those wanting a fast and portable charger. While 25W is not the highest output charger available, it is sufficient to rapid charge most devices. My Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S7 FE both reported “super fast charging” on their lock screens while plugged in. I tried it with a Pixel 7 Pro phone as well, and it reported it was “charging rapidly.” With a device that can pull a lot of charge, like my Galaxy phone, the charger itself can get really quite warm, almost hot. The folding prongs also make the already exceptionally small charger even smaller, making this very well suited to on the go usage. I travel frequently and this will definitely be taken with me. The included braided cord is exceptionally good, with solid connectors and an overall quality feel. It’s rated up to 60W, so it could be used with even more substantial chargers, as 60W is often sufficient for smaller laptops and Chromebooks. It helpfully includes attached cord management. You really can’t ever have too many chargers, and many phones no longer come with one. So whether you’re adding to the ones you already have, or replacing a lost one, this is a very good choice for charging a USB-C phone or tablet. It’s small and portable, and the included cable is exceptionally well done. Recommended.

It's very good charger. It's fast charger and foldable and it works with all the phones.

I bought this for my Samsung Galaxy cell phone because it was cheaper than the Samsung one. It works just fine, is easily portable to take wherever you want. Once in awhile I have to push it back into the plug in, but it works fine for charging my phone wherever I want to at home and travelling.

Charges fast, and a good length cord , and durable . Perfect for nighttime charging by the bed ....in the drawer, to avoid emf ! And a quick grab if needed.

Solid little charger with good gast but not supeffast charging. Superfast can reduce battery life so I opted for just gast charging and this performs well.

What is there not to like. The USB-C connector is very well made , I especially like how the cord is braided so it feels so much more durable. The power cube is convenient as the prongs fold in making it easier to carry with you if needed . The unit connects seamlessly and powers my phone quickly and efficiently, very happy with this connector.

The box for the Insignia Compact Wall Charging Kit specifies Samsung devices and the box lists some compatible devices. The devices I have aren’t on the “works best with” list, but they still charged OK, although more slowly than with the charger I’ve been using. With my phone at a 70% charge it took 90 minutes to fully charge it. The phones I used it with were a Microsoft Surface Duo 2 and a Google Pixel 8a. It could be that the charger does not perform optimally on those devices. It has a nice braided 6 foot cable with foldable prongs for easy transport without snagging on anything. The only problem I had was when plugging it into a GFCI outlet. The GFCI tripped and had to be reset, every time. It could be because the top edge of the charger hits right at the GFCI reset button level and if the charger is plugged in forcefully, it can pop the button. Also, while charging, the wall charger got slightly warm to the touch. When plugged into a regular outlet the charger did not get warm and I didn’t notice any problems. There’s nothing fancy about it, but it does the job it’s made to do. It might be best to stick with the devices that it is known to work well with.

I purchased the Insignia Wall Charger to replace my old charger which was not working properly. The new charger works very well. It is good not to have to worry with equipment that is not doing the job! The Insignia Charger was recommended to me by one of the Geeks who had checked out my device and had concluded that my charger was bad. I would recommend this product.
