Love this product, the delivery had some shortcomings. The refrigerator is well designed, of high quality materials and construction, and takes a little getting used to. The Geek Squad was competent but rushed, and abandoned the job before it was completed.. We wish we had hired someone else who could take the time to see the job through without undue haste.
The interior shelf and drawer configuration easily accommodates typical sizes of products that require refrigeration. The water dispenser is inside the refrigerator compartment. The filtered and chilled water dispenses easily into drinking glasses. The French refrigerator doors can be opened independently of each other but require some human reprogramming because the must be opened by pulling on grips instead of handles. And closing also requires follow-through because each door offers some closing resistance to prevent problems if the doors were to close precisely at the same time. The freezer compartment is on tge bottom and upens as a solidly guided drawer with a smaller shelf drawer on top of the larger drawer. All frozen stock is easy to see. The shelf drawer contains a well-anchored ice cube container into which an icemaker deposits well- formed ice cubes that are cold enough to remain separated. A control button easily turns the icemaker off/on to prevent the ice cube container from overflowing. The whole unit is solidly built inside and out. It has the feel of a luxury product
Our only problem seems to be the Geek Squad delivery. We told the dispatcher a day ahead of time that they would need to take off the refrigerator doors because of one tight corner in the access path. When the crew arrived they first told me they could move tge unit to its destination just by opening the doors. They soon found out that they needed to take off the doors. After hooking the unit up to the waterline, they informed me that they could not pla e it into the cabinet opening. They told me that they had to leave because they had several more installations to do and were already late. The promised to come back at the end of the day to move the unit back out because it would not fit. I replied that it would fit. Then they told me that in trying to move the unit with tge doors on,a small scratch was caused and they would give me a number to set up a claim for the door to be replaced. After they left I moved the refrigerator into its cubbyhole with little difficulty. I called the leader of the two-man Geek Squad and told him the unit fits. I also said I wanted them to come back to make sure everything was working correctly and to let me have instructions about my claim for the scratch . They asked me if they could come the next day because they were running seriously behind. I said fine. They never showed up again. I wrote a complaint in response to an email I received a couple of days later asking *how did we do? I asked to be contacted. I never was contacted until I was invited to write this review.

Exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of room for both refrigerator and freezer compartments! Having the water dispenser and ice inside is a big plus for us wanting sleek doors!

I am so upset, I loved this refrigerator until last week when it died. Compressor and control board out and it is only 7 months old. What? Found out today that the control board is back ordered and they have no idea when it will be in. I said they need to send out a new refrigerator but oh no it has to be over 30 days. So I am spending $2 to $3 a day for ice for my ice chest, which is totally inefficient. What happened to quality products and good customer service? Should have bought a Frigidaire where parts are readily available. Best Buy should be warning their customers that parts are not in stock for this brand.

Great refrigerator for the low price. Right door seal is a little loose but not a problem. LED indicators on the top for ease of use for freezer and cooling temps. Water filter and ice maker work great. Fast chill and freeze also work as intended. Plenty of storage space too.

Great fridge! It's very spacious with plenty of drawers and shelves. The water dispenser on the interior is quite user friendly. The large drawer can only be opened when both doors or open but still very conveniet. Lots of freezer space with two compartments on the bottom and an upper shelf. Make sure to remove the screw from the freezer divider thats put in to keep it in place during transit. Ice dispenser took a while to get going but now makes plenty of ice and it is little cubes instead of long wedges.

We love it so far except the ice maker doesn’t seem to put out enough or even fill the ice bucket. There’s no button we can hit to force it to create more. Husband is actually calling geek squad right now.

I would like to say upfront I like the fridge. My main issues are with the split shelves inside. If you have them together on the same level and put items on them they sag and separate. This is not a problem if you put your shelving on different levels. My other issue is the ice maker. After having the fridge for a month the ice in the tray turned to a solid chunk of ice. I dumped it and after a couple weeks I noticed the bottom was already turning in to a chunk. Over all I like the fridge and I can live with the minor issues.

Hello Josh,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review on our French Door refrigerator. We are happy to read that you liked the refrigerator though it had some frosting. I understand that no one wants to experience this with their unit. However, I kindly invite you to contact our team so that we can guide you on how to defrost your unit. Ice maker has some design flaws

Purchased this fridge, based mainly on the price point as appliances are getting more and more expensive and this one seemed to be in a nice price point.
The good: spacious, well lit, quiet
The bad: NO door handles - constantly wiping down the fridge for fingerprints. This got annoying really quick; The ice maker is horrible - on multiple occasions, the ice maker stopped dispensing ice. It seems as though the ice maker would fill up with too much water (spilling over into the ice bin and making one huge chunk of ice) and then would stop dispensing because the tray was too full and the ice would not fall out. I was never able to get a full tray of ice during the time I had this in my possession. I finally turned the ice maker off and bought ice.
This eventually made me return the fridge for a different model, as it seems to be a common issue with this fridge (the ice maker that is).
Best Buy was awesome in getting this returned and replaced. They dropped off another fridge and took this one away within 4 days.

Shopped for a new fridge for a couple months. Was not willing to spend upward of 2000 plus for a new fridge. Shopped lowes home depot Sears just about all the big stores. This fridge from best buy insignia I considered the best overall value. For the price. Have had it for about 3 weeks now couldn't be happier.

This is a huge refrigerator with lots of space and adjustment options. The shelf design and interchangeability are well thought out. It's actually quieter than expected... only downside is hard to find filters but Amazon has you covered!

Bought one month ago - so far it's great.
Easy to set temperatures and TONS of room in the fridge section.
The shelves on the doors can hold a lot of items
Buy this fridge if you like more room in the fridge section and care less about space in the freezer section. Freezer section isn't tiny but you do give up some freezer space to get more fridge space.
Negatives - the side by side fridge doors are uneven. It's only a quarter of an inch but you can clearly see it's off.
Hand prints show on the stainless steel with the easily if you don't use the handles...but that's common.

Terrible Fridge / Terrible BBY Support

First the good - I loved this fridge for about 1 1/2 years. It had a ton of space and didn't have an ice box in the fridge portion that made shelf space unusable.
Now the bad:
My Insignia NS-RFD26SS9 is not even 2 years old and has already quit cooling completely. Both the fridge and the freezer. I know appliance manufacturers are shifting towards these major items becoming 'throw away and replace' items (i.e. no longer support local repair people to come out and fix them easily), but less than 2 years is a bit crazy.
I also got the 3-year protection plan, as my previous French door Samsung bit the dust after only 3 years of use, in hopes that a resolution in the event of system failure would be a bit easier than working directly with the manufacturer. Boy, was I wrong.
I opened my 'case' with Geek Squad support over 2 months ago now and still do not have the beginning of a resolution started yet.
I've been a loyal Best Buy shopper for many years. I worked at Best Buy in my younger days. I've been an Elite member a number of times and am currently an 'Elite Plus' member. Given the lack of effort from Best Buy on this issue, I think my days of being loyal are now over.
My advice if you are considering purchasing this fridge - DON'T! The parts/filters are hard to find and the quality is obviously lacking as well.
Also, don't expect that purchasing the Protection Plan will make things any easier for you in the event of an outage - IT WON'T! Best Buy has fallen flat on their face on this one and they certainly come across like they don't care.
My suggestion - go to your local appliance store and deal directly with someone there who doesn't outsource support to an uncaring, unresponsive phone bank (AIG/Special Forces) who passes the problem back and forth without any resolution.

Great fridge - love the space in the fridge and freezer. Only gave 4 stars because the water dispenser could be better in terms of how it dispenses the water, but that's a minor issue since we keep a separate water filter.

I waited to write this review to actually give it some time and see how it would work out. When I was first looking for a fridge I wanted something at least 23cu ft but looking at other brands they were almost double what I paid for this one. I wasn’t expecting to find a fridge at Best Buy but we did so far I have only had one issue. And that’s if the power goes out that you need to reset the temp or it will go to the default which I think is 45. But other than that it’s a great fridge plenty of space and is easy to look it hope this helps someone out

This is by far the best refrig I have ever owned. The shelves are adjustable so I could configure it anyway I wanted. I love the alarm though it is high pitched and a little hard to hear. It has multiple drawers and wide shelves on the doors. The freezer size is huge, I have plenty of room for everything. I also bought it because it is so so quiet. That was one of the reasons I bought it. It's sleek and pretty and I love that it has no handles. I recommend this to anyone who needs a frig with lots of room

We love our fridge! It is quiet, spacious, and we are very happy with it.
Have not connected a water line to it, yet, but the ice maker box is a good size, and the feature of a water line in the left side of the fridge to fill water bottles is a nice touch.
It is stainless, so all the same fingerprint challenges apply, but they aren't a bother to us that much!
Delivery went well, but had to make sure the doors were removed to get inside.
