Connected my iPhone XR to an older Bose Wave Radio via this cable and the Apple lightning to 3.5mm jack and the iPhone/Bose worked as hoped for.

It works great the sound is clear no static . The only thing is the wire it self looks to skinny. It feels like it's going to come apart easy. But so far so good
