However, this cord was exactly what I needed and it fits new and old devices as well.

reliable and inexpensive

So far it has served me very well, the audio quality is just what you'd expect from an aux cable. It has not shown any sign of audio interference if you have it plugged in while the phone is charging, which in my experience is a common problem with other aux cables. I would recommend this product.
