I got this cable and it works! Also, if you have a VPN (such as Google One) running on your iPhone , shut it off if Carplay still isn't working.

Great Little Black Cable

You can use it to plug your phone into your car's entertainment system, or not. It is too short for a jumping rope, and it is kind of thin for that as well. It is probably waterproof, but there is electricity in there, and it does not like to get wet. Best Buy told me I would get 25 points if I would review it.

Used daily when I'm in my chair watching TV and when driving a borrowed car. This cable works well for my use and appears to be reinforced at wear areas.

DSLR camera uses the USB-C for quick transfer of large RAW files. My original cable was run over by desk chair. While flattened, I was able to open up with needle nose pliers where would attach to camera. It worked, but figured it was time to replace.

It requires highspeed ports on your computer as it will only transmit what you computer puts out and your peripheral will receive. I use it for a 2 TB SanDisk Extreme pro SSD and it decreases copy time for a 1.2 TB transfer from 2.5 hours to 45 minutes. I marked down the quality a bit as the first one I purchased had to be returned as it was defective.
