High-Pitch Whine Is Not Cool

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put this little guy in the basement and filled it with Salmon, which stayed frozen the entire time it was in there, as expected. But after about a month I realized the high-pitched noise I was hearing was not in my head. I noticed that the sound was quite intense when I walked near the little Insignia freezer, so I turned the dial down to get the compressor to shut off and sure enough, the noise stopped. It wasn’t immediately obvious that the sound was coming from the freezer because it’s so I pitched that it just fills the house. But it’s definitely the freezer. I can’t say that it’s a design flaw; maybe there’s something wrong with my particular freezer. But there are a lot of choices when it comes to tiny freezers, so why take the chance? Needless to say, I’m going to try to return it even though it’s past it’s return date. Either way I gotta get rid of it because I want to get a dog.
