    Needed a freezer since my college kids came home. Didnt have room in my regilar freezer. I like the product bit had to settle with the fact it doesnt self defrost.

    This is the first chest freezer I have ever bought but I have owned many refrigerators in my life and have a background in refrigeration systems. So I expect to hear some noise but not what I'm hearing. When the freezer initially comes on there is a slight quiet hum which seems normal, but after about 10 minutes of running I hear gurgling from the top back of the freezer this does not sound normal. Even after the compressor turns off there is gurgling for a few minutes. The gurgling seems to be an obstruction in the refrigernat line or during the refrigerant expansion pahse. Either way I have never heard of this noise in any referigerant syytem in my life. I'm afraid since this is not normal after several years the freezer will suddenly fail. With where I keep my freezer I won't know that it stopped for after a day or so and will loose all my frozen food. Has anyone else heard the gurgling coming from the top left corner of the freezer?
