This freezer is much larger than I expected; I thought it would be about the size of a typical dorm fridge, since this was the smallest freezer available, but it's significantly larger/taller (it's about desk/dining table height). We brought it home in the backseat of a VW Jetta and it barely fit through the door (it was too big for the trunk). The blue light indicating that it is turned on is helpful and it runs completely silent. I found purchasers' photos useful in choosing this item, so I've attached a few including the car trip home and the freezer at various levels of fullness.

This small compact freezer is just what I needed for my small apartment. It takes up very little space and holds a nice amount of food. This unit is extremely quiet and I haven't had any problems so far.

This freezer is Amazing! Excellent price and it's the perfect size with plenty of storage space. It's relatively quiet and takes up a small amount of space.

Needed something to offset our bulk freezer items and this was a perfect fit for our utility closet. The BestBuy associate gave us great directions we hadn’t considered. Driving an SUV, the unit was placed sideways. The associate shared that once we arrived at our destination, we should not plug it in right away. Allow the unit to stand upright for the same amount of time that it was laying on its side so that the compressor can equalize. We took his suggestion to heart, waiting five hours before plugging it in. Once we did that, it was chilling within the first 30 minutes. We haven’t had any trouble to date. We’ll see after two-month. Operates quietly. Set between Mid - Max. As the weather changes we’ll adjust the temperature. A tad of frost, but feel that fas more to do with us filling the unit with goods. There’s been no increase of frost since.

I saw this on sale and could not pass up this steal of a price. It was delivered by Best Buy (not UPS or FedEx) and the guys brought it right in and there was no damage at all. It’s small enough to fit into our apartment, but has more space inside than we actually need for now. I got tired of not being able to buy as much frozen food as I wanted with limited space I our regular fridge/freezer, so now I can shop in bulk and make less trips to the store.

Freezers finally came back in stock I did my research and BEST BUY was the WINNER! I ordered and I did not mind paying for the deliver fee! The date was set. I was kept informed every step of when my freezer would arrive. The day of delivery, I received a text, email from BEST BUY, and a phone call from the driver to say they are on the way! (scheduled time between 7am-1pm- arrived around 9ish!) This is my first-time ordering a big-ticket item from BEST BUY, and I must say I got the royal treatment. The service guys were very professional and courteous. They un-packed the freezer from the truck to bringing it in with masks and kid gloves all within a timely manner. Once on, the freezer did not take long to get cool. I have it set to where it is not over freezing. My regular refrigerator/freezer was busting, once I took everything out and put in my new freezer, WOW, it was bigger than what I thought! Incredible quiet! Thanks BEST BUY, I am ready for the long winter and keeping well stocked!

Insignia 3.5 cu ft freezer was delivered w/o damage and placed on platform I made for it. No adjustable feet to level, so leveled my platform. Let stand unplugged for 48 hours. Plugged in and followed timing instructions before I transferred frozen food from my fridge freeze to mini freezer. Has been working beautifully. No noise. Only slight frost buildup is near the door from opening it. Bought 5/8" O.D. hose which fits snugly in drain for defrosting. Only issue was a spot that feels like rust. Delivery fee is excessive for this item. Recommend pickup, instead.

This is such a great product I never need to look around any where else. I looked online and found other big stores sell the small size for a much more expensive price so I went with insignia and this is my second purchase and it works great and the warranty is so worth it , it covers even the spoiled food IF ur freezer brakes down and the amount of the freezer you paid but honestly my freezer is working great and I highly recommend it and YES it is really deep. It is even cat approved like u see.

No complaints after a month. Seems to be quite cold on its lowest setting, though I'll see how it does in summer heat. Drain hole (which I haven't used yet) is very low, you'll definitely want to raise it up for defrosting (I set it on stacked 2x4s, picture). Light enough I could move it on my own. Energy rating not great, and the lid is noticeably cool so it could have used more insulation there (and since cool sinks, the lid being cool suggests especially poor insulation).

Needed a small deep freezer and this freezer fits the bill. Great size especially if you don't have a lot of room to store this freezer and it holds a good amount of food. I would recommend it to anyone. Perfect for first-time preppers. Ordered using curbside pick-up and was very happy with Best Buy's service.

This fits comfortably in our pantry/laundry room. I bought this for my fiancé for Father’s Day and he didn’t think it was big enough at first, but the inside is bigger than you would think.

This freezer is the perfect size for 2 people. It is maintaining the -0 to -1 temperature but it would be nice to have a digital temperature indicator. I bought a thermometer and no issues so far with the temperature fluctuating. I was going to put it in the kitchen but the right side of the unit is sharp metal and I did not want it to scratch my floor. Since you can’t put a rug under it I put it in the garage. Even if 2 people were lifting it that metal could cut someone or the cord if you set it on the cord accidentally. Other than that I recommend it as of today.

This freezer is the perfect size for our small apartment and small family. The inside is small but large enough to store ice cream, turkey and monthly supply of assorted meats. We used it to keep ice for our first summer cookout.

IAM I LOVING THIS FREEZER!!!! PLEASE DON'T HAVE DOUBTS PURCHASING THE INSIGNIA BRAND BECAUSE IT'S BEST BUY BRAND AND I TRULY TRUST IT IT'S NOT TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL IT'S JUST RIGHT FOR A FAMILY OF 5 AND IT DOES HOLD A LOT OF FOOD JUST AS LONG AS YOU PACK IT RIGHT AND KEEP IT ORGANIZE

I read the reviews on this product. Decided to purchase it myself. Excellent little freezer Love how it doesn't take up much Room. Great quality for the price. Very happy with my purchase. highly recommend this product To anyone that's looking for a deep freezer For a small spaces.

I use a lot of these small freezers in my business, and they do great. As is expected, the top baskets don't stay as cold as the very bottom (because physics, right?), and I wish that I had the opportunity to buy another basket. But the chest freezer does what its supposed to do, and does not take up much floor space.
