My only regret about this chest freezer is not getting it sooner! My family likes to grocery shop a lot--we have a mild phobia of running out of food which completely escalated during this pandemic. We were always running out of freezer space in our main fridge long before the pandemic, and now that we have an emergency grocery inventory, our main freezer space didn't stand a chance. I was very skeptical about the size of this chest freezer as I'm not familiar with cubit ft. sizing. 3.5 cu ft. sounded small but it was one of the only few options that I had or I had to get a 7 cu ft. which sounded too much for what I was going to use it for. Happy to report that 3.5 cu ft. is the perfect size for my 4-person family to be used as a supplemental freezer. It is DEEP and spacious. We have been filling it up every weekend with each grocery run, and still haven't filled it up half way yet. When they said each cubit ft should hold about 30 lbs, I can attest that this is very true. With skillful organization, you could likely even fit more! Coldness wise--haven't had any issues with it. The temperature adjuster seems to be on the sensitive side which can be a bit tricky to control. If you move it 2 millimeters, it could mean a matter of a few degrees difference. If you are very specific about how cold you like your freezer to be, you might find this feature to be challenging. For those of us that don't care as long as the food freezers, this gets the job done. Noise level--non-existent. Mind you, we keep it in the garage where we generally don't hear anything. However, when we are in the garage, it is as quiet as can be. Value: Amazing! I did some research and compared prices on other online sources before deciding on this one. I checked Amazon for chest freezers that were similar in size and features, and almost all of them were almost double the price with very poor reviews. This was such a worthy pandemic purchase. Will keep it for years to come.

We have a very small unit and this product fits perfectly. We have only had it for about 3-4 weeks, but so far it works perfectly.

i asked if bb had the freezer - the associates checed the back - they did - i said i"ll take it - they helped me load it in the car and off i went- the small freezer works excellently and once again BB has what i needed - great store

easily holding four 15 pounds turkeys and more! Fairly quiet, but does run a bit more than I think it should, but not seeing a big difference in the electric bill.

I have had this small freezer for over a year and I am very pleased with it. It is the right size for my small space but still greatly expanded my frozen storage.

Very compact and it fits perfectly in the space in my sunroom. It’s fairly quiet and perfect size for my family. The freezer is great but I will NEVER purchase anything else from Best Buy. Customer service & that “geek squad” are terrible.

Love my freezer! Its small but mighty and still had plenty of room! I bought this because I live in apartment that has a very small frig/freezer. This is a great little gem! I can now have frozen foods. and in my frig/freezer combo...I can finally have ice! I use the mini freezer for frozen meats and freezer/frig for frozen veggies. I highly recommend! and it doesn't take up to much space! Its about the size of a mini frig.

Larger than we thought and Very quiet! We have had it turned on for 3 months...no problems with ice build up yet

THE INSIGNIA 3.5 CHEST WAS AN EXCELLENT BUY. AT THE TIME IN 2018 IT WASN'T ON SALE. THE 5.0 CUBIC FOOT CHEST WAS ON SALE BUT IT WAS A LITTLE LARGER THAN WHAT I NEEDED. TO DATE IN SEPT 2020 IT IS STILL WORKING WITHOUT ANY COMPLICATIONS. IT IS SO QUIET YOU DON'T KNOW IT'S RUNNING UNLESS YOU SEE THE INDICATOR LIGHT ON IN FRONT. ALSO IT DOESN'T DEVELOP FROST THAT PEOPLE HAVE MENTIONED IN OTHER REVIEWS. MAYBE THEY NEED TO STOP OPENING IT SO MUCH. IT'S A GREAT BUY YOU WON'T REGRET!!

Needed more freezer space. Since I do not have a lot of extra space I opted for a smaller size. It’s perfect! Great purchase!
