I bought this small freezer back in 2022. I worked for a few months and stopped. I lost all my food. I made several calls to customer service and finally spoke with a young lady in the Philippines. She had me call the company and it was delivered to my home. Thank you young lady and Insignia for the new freezer. I have only had it for a month. So far so good.

The item seemed to work well. I bought the freezer "Open Box, Excellent" to save a few box. I've had good experiences on such in the past. The description states "Looks Brand New." Hardly. The freezer was in bubble wrap, no box. Upon unwrapping, the door was dented near the hinge, preventing proper closure, but usable with a bit of effort. The seal was a bit distorted, but again workable. Not a big deal, but the "Looks brand new" came at a 10% higher price than the "Satisfactory, Normal wear and tear," which would more accurately describe what I received. Best Buy Customer Service ran me around for half an hour, mostly waiting on the Rep, to end in "Sorry, we will do nothing as you bought it in store." So, for their inaccurate description I have to go through a major inconvenience and return it. All they had to do was adjust the description and make good on the difference. I was even willing to provide photos. I will not give them the satisfaction of paying more for an inferior item. I leave this as a warning to reconsider open box items of this nature. I will even think twice about new appliance purchases at Best Buy. Also, BBY deletes negative reviews of them so it seems, as I have left this review several times for it to disappear.
