It did maintain temp but the compressor was kicking on and then failing every 15 minutes. I called and was bounced around between Best Buy and Geek Squad before they finally told me to bring it in. They sent it off for repair instead of replacing, but ended up determining that it needed to be replaced anyway. I got my refund and did not buy another.

This unit used fix-frequency compressor. There has a temp sensor in cabinet, when the temp sensor reach the setting temp, the compressor will stop work and the cabinet temp higher than the setting temp the compressor will work again. This is normal phenomenon.
