    Had an old drive that I thought I lost, but installed it in this exterior case and was able to access the files again! Saved me a lot of heartache, and now I have a more storage I can use for other purposes. Drive it well into the case, and it worked right out of the box.

    used this to replace larger SATA enclosure that was not working properly. This unit is alot slimer and faster since its USB 3. Installation is quite simple. Would have given 5 stars if this unit had a small fan to keep Hard drive cool. However that would have made the enclosure a lttle bigger. This would have been a nice feature since the enclosure is always on in my case.

    There is only one type of drive that can be used with this and that is a Desktop ATA with Sata Only. Works great and super fast.

    I brought my old tower to the Geek Squad office to see if it could be resurrected but no such luck. The clerk who was helping me informed me that it was too far gone and anything that we would do wouldn't last. He suggested just to remove the hard drive and encase it so I don't loose any information. He took care of everything and I walked away with all of my files on an external hard drive.
