Used this enclosure to recover the data from a crashed desktop computer. Includes instruction manual, although it is pretty straight forward. Comes with a screwdriver, USB cable, and power adapter.

I had an old desktop hard drive and this was great for taking out the hard drive and using it as a Flash drive type Desktop Hard drive. This is what an hard drive Enclosure does and this one does its job.

This sleek, handy enclosure easily receives your disk and seals firmly. It is attractive and slender, needing little space while providing additional capacity for you to use.

I was able to use it on 2of my 3 hard drives. It didn't connect on the third one. I had to be careful because the plastic connector snapped off. I got most of what I bought it for.

This was very easy to install my hard drive into, there were no forced screws or parts that didn't quite fit. It was designed well. It's on the pricier end compared to the hard drive cases on amazon, but it was all they had at best buy and it does the trick well. Very good connectivity and nice looking case.

I was hoping this product was a little smaller. I was happy that it was able to use the faster USB protocol.

I had my old computer crash and this was a life saver. I was able to pull the hard drive out of my 8 plus year old computer and retrieve the data that I thought was lost forever.

I had a WD 3TB external hard drive that I was hoping I could salvage so I bought this enclosure hoping and praying it would work. The good news is it works perfectly. The one complaint I might could throw out is that the cables insert on the front facing and not in the back...but that isn't too much to overcome. Highly recommended.

We started getting the blue screen of death with a message "hard drive failure eminent". So we couldn't get our information off the drive. But now we can!

Great product. Allows me to simply plug in my old hard drive into my new laptop. Can access anything that was ever saved on my hard drive including itunes! Saved my butt

It's not the first of these I've owned. I have one other. It's great for accessing old hard drives. also for retreval of data from drives that no longer are bootable.

Purchased this to enclose my 2TB HD and works perfectly. Product comes with everything you need such as the cable and AC adapter. Casing is very durable.

This device helped keep my data backed up. Nothing worse than your computer crashing without a backup of your data.

By using this hard drive enclosure I can use the hard drive from my old computer as a backup drive on the new computer and have all my old data available for the new computer.

Good enclosure for somewhat smaller drives. I bought for 8 TB drives but due to the power requirements were not reliable. Would work with <= 4 TB fine.

I'd thought I was going to lose all of my data from the old laptop HDD. This product is super simple and true plug and play.

Setup up was simple and we were able to easily connect to our computer and retrieve all the files on a hard drive that had been in a computer that probably had motherboard problems.

My oringal harddrive was replaced from my computer after being repaired. I needed to retrieve all of my photos, and music from the orignal HD. After reviewing HD enclosures, functionality and price. I chose the insignia 3.5 for usability and specially for the price. Couldn't be happier. Was very easy to use and was able to retrieve everything I needed. And can still be used and an external Hd.

Looks life a very durable and sturdy product buy mine was dead out of the box. Returned it and got a different enclosure instead.

Good case for using that internal drive you want to use. I like that it has an external on and off switch too. very sturdy
