Easy install. Great in u wanna take a old or new hard drive and make its external portable hard drive.

Should have rails or a slide-out tray to swap drives easier; also, it should not have a screwed-in door. It makes it more difficult to change out a drive.

Still have not figured out how to get my files off of the old hard drive. Transferring of files should be included in the service not extra.

I bough this enclosure for an old hard drive I was replacing. It was a quick and easy fit.

A bit tricky to assemble but easy to use. Aligning and sliding the pieces together is difficult.

I haven't done a huge amount of PC building, but installing my old hard drive into this case was so simple I was able to do it while on a conference call. My only Cons are a matter of design - though I understand why the company made the choices they did. I would prefer to have the power switch and LED on the "front" of the box and the wires in the "back" so it looks neater sitting next to my tower.

My computer died. Most of my data was stored on external hard drives but program settings and the record of which programs were installed on the old computer were locked on the machine's internal drive. I bought this enclosure, mounted the drive in it and was able to transfer the necessary information to my new computer. I now have another external drive that I can use for backups at work. Win-win.

I really enjoy my hdd enclosure, it works excellent and I recommend it to anyone! :)
