Who needs a block for your usb charging cables with this outlet? Had these installed around the house during our remodel in places where kids, friends and family would look to charge their phones. Bought them on sale, good price, great item.

This is a great product that is easy to install if you know anything about electricity. It eliminates the need for adapters and the outlet could be used for other appliances. I installed it in the kitchen where my wife charges her phone and iPad. It is a lot neater setup.

I purchased two of these 3.6A USB receptacles, choosing them over the 2.4A model in hopes of quick-charging two phones at once. One of the units worked perfectly, charging my Moto Razr 5G at over 1400mA. The other unit wouldn't charge faster than 200mA (using the same phone & cables). This causes the "charging slowly" error message to appear on some phones. Hopefully, I just got one of those defective units. Otherwise, the outlet is easy to install into your existing box using its quick-connect terminals secured by screws. Thankfully, my boxes were deep enough to adequately accommodate the unit. The 120v 3-prong sockets work just like they should. It's a nice surprise that the wallplates are included.

Insignia™ - 3.6A USB Charger Wall Outlet - seems okay. It was easy to install. It fit comfortably in the existing bracket. However, I'm not sure about the charging speed. My first couple tries indicates that it charges slower than my regular charger/adapter...but I can't say for sure. Looks nice. I like the convenience of USB + regular plugs.

I purchased two of these units for my kids. It took a total of 15 minutes to install both. Couldn't be happier cause now the kids always have charged tablets, phones. Because of the higher current rating of the outlets, the devices charge really fast. No unsightly wall warts either.

I wanted to install a wall outlet that had USB plugs so that I could charge cell phones and other types of USB devices and this outlet is perfect. Not only was it very easy to install but it charges my devices more quickly than when I use a USB adapter to charge them.

Outlet was very easy to install - just remember to switch off the breaker first. Looks much like the wall outlet I replaced, but so much more useful for direct charging of two devices with USB cords. Works great, as advertised.

Easy to install. look very good on the wall. Just remember the usb will charge the same power whether one or two cables are connected. Looks much cleaner than having a power brick in the socket.

Quick delivery after order. Excellent instructions and easy to install. Replaced an existing duplex receptacle that needed replacing anyway because the inserts were loose. Works great. Use it most evenings to repower batteries in my iphone and galaxy tab 2. Highly recommend.

Insignia™ - 3.6A USB Charger Wall Outlet does as expected. Charging port works fine...seems to charge my phone relatively fast. Installation was simple - same as any wall outlet. There was no problem fitting this USB charger outlet into the standard hole in the wall.

Replaced my existing outlet in the kitchen with this. Installation is simple if you are familiar with general electrical connnections. The unit fits just right and the existing outlet is just deep enough to house the unit with no issue. Nice looking and great value.

Love having two 3.6a usb in the kitchen now. Product was easy to install. Just make sure you have enough space in the outlet box before buying because it is kind of big and will take much space.

Strangely, I have only seen a few reviews that reference how bad the tamper resistance is with certain plugs. About half the items I try to plug in physically will not insert. I was so determined to get it to work, that I tried plugging in a power strip while the outlet wasn’t even in the wall, and ended up doing superficial damage to some plastic inside. Ended up just buying a new strip and it plugged right in. So just be aware. Otherwise, it behaves like I would expect it to. Not the slimmest outlet in the world but fit in a standard wall box without issue. USB seems to charge my phone pretty quickly.

These things work great, the only downside is they're a little bulky. Not realizing this may have been my own fault, and it isn't a deal breaker, but the face of these is very deep. You either have to use the thick wall plate it comes with or it will stick out a bit from a standard decorator wall plate.

Half a century ago the Wriggley Company created an ad campaign for their Double-Mint flavor gum, touting the fact it was "two mints in one". Well, somebody must have been paying attention to that concept when they decided to combine two power sources in a single electrical device. This little number is a standard 115v duplex receptacle that also has the transformer capacity to charge your favorite tech toys without the need for an external charging device, Every room should have one of these. The only downside is the retail price. But, if you are patient enough to wait until these babies are on sale, they are a good value. That will ease your pain financially. No matter how smart your phone or sophisticated the device or notebook, it's useless if the battery is dead. Which reminds me, please turn OFF the power before you install the receptacle, because you too will be useless if dead. Be safe.

Looks good and easy to install USB outlet. It does require a full depth box and that there are not too many wires in the box. Works great and makes it convenient to charge USB devices even if you can't find your charger, as long as there is a USB cable around.

A little bulky from behind so had trouble fitting in inside electrical housing. Besides that, this product is great, affordable compared to others and charges really fast compared to other products I have setup here at home.

I've always wanted to get these! Because we always have our phones or vapes charging. After we remodeled our house I went out on a limb when they went on sale and bought a few. Thank goodness I did! I absolutely love them and want one in every room!!!!

The product is really excellent!! Just know the overall box going inside the wall is deeper than your regular outlet, so you'll have to squish some wire aside. Once this is done, the outlet works like a charm!!!!
