Purchased for my elderly mother-in-law as the remote that came with her Insignia TV did NOT have any number buttons. This one is much easier for her to use.

We recently upgraded our small 26" 720P Samsung tv to a 32" 1080P TCL with Google tv. Unfortunately, the remote with the TCL was extremely minimalist. One of the modes that was totally lacking was to jump from one OTA channel to another one directly (e.g., 7 to 13). This universal remote gave us this capability back. It was easy to set up using the provided manufacturer code, and we may be able to use it for up to two additional devices in the future if we need to.

Bought for half price during BB sale. Good price. No trouble getting it to control TCL Roku TV. And since ZVOX sound bar learns Roku TV remote, Insignia controls sound with no extra setup. I have no set top box but am able to use the [STB] mode to control my DVD players - with some effort. But drawbacks... *Hard to use in dim room because buttons not back lit; *The STB button can control other things like my DVD, but I had to have it learn multiple buttons from the DVD remote - a pain but it worked; It would be much better if the STB button could have device codes for controlling things other than a set top box. *To me this is really a 2 device controller not 3. The [WatchTV] button would be much better if it could be used as just another re-programmable button. I'll never use it; I have a different vendor's $25 smart control that can control 4 devices and all 4 are programmable with codes or learning. It is back-lit. So to me it is better.

it was relatively easy to set up on an older vizio tv

This is good for replacement or standby contoller. Nice features and easy-to-use

A little older Hisense works perfectly using the codes option with the first code in the list: 3519. Using the iption 2 quick config most features but not all, so I was happy thatbusing the code enabled all ibcluding thr menu options to adjust sound and pictire etc. The most important featire for me was to be able to use the remote to play a video off a USB key since that is the only thing i cant do with the onboard controls.

Great option if you loose remotes. It was easy to program.

Has most necessary functions for a universal smart tv remote

I've never felt I've been a controlling person but with this I can say I am able to control the tv. If it breaks from misuse, I'd probably buy it again. Worked perfectly out of the box.

I bought this for my Samsung, so it came preprogrammed. All I had to do was add batteries. Works well…not much else to comment on with universal remote!
