I thought despite the size being on the smaller side, it would work for my fairly large bathroom. After using it for a couple days, I am finding it to be a pain to use. The main reason is the motion sensor only picks up motion within 10 inches of the top of the lid. This means you have to really bend over for the can to open the lid. If the can would sense roughly 16-20 inches above the lid, this would work much better for tossing items inside. I have since moved the can onto the counter (interesting, I know) but it actually seems to work more ergonomically given the can is near chest height. You can simply reach out and the can will open. Overall, if you don't want to have to bend over to place garbage inside and have the space, I would recommend a taller can.

I might even buy another, for my office. I got mine on sale but I would gladly pay the full listed price as it's worth it. As soon as you open the box there are instructions (in 3 languages) it shows you where to insert the one battery, insert the 3 gallon trash bag, and that's it - you're off to the races. Here are some pics. Buy this, you'll be glad you did!

Worked great… until

Then the automatic lid wouldn’t open unless I pushed the button and wouldn’t go down. I talked to customer service and they won’t let me replace it. I replaced the batteries twice and am now stuck with a $40 bucket

We have ours in the bathroom because of the baby diapers. It keeps nats away and holds quite a few diapers. Nice sleek look. Would recommend.
