I purchased it as an open item, but quickly realized why. I expected to hook an iPhone to the AUX port of the car radio, but it wouldn't recognize the phone--no matter which car. Yet, if I hooked a cable from the AUX to the iPhone adapter and then plugged it in, it recognized it fine. I returned and told them to return it. Either mine was broken or it just doesn't work at all.

As soon as I plugged this into my phone and connected it to my BOSE sound system to test it out before giving this as a gift; no sound came from the phone or BOSE when it said it’s compatible. When I disconnected it to try it again; my moms phone started smoking. And my moms phone was an iPhone 8.

Most of our units have a 1-year warranty from the moment of purchase, with the receipt of one of authorized retail sellers.

I will say it works but it is way to thin... I felt like I was going to rip it apart every time I took it out of my phone.
