Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.About a month ago I had bought an aux cord just like this one from amazon to listen to my music in the car. Unfortunately it did not work for my phone but did work for his; about a week later it would start cutting out the sound and would take a minute to work again. I am happy to say that I haven’t had any problems with my new aux cord(bought from Best Buy) and it’s finally great to listen to music in the car without it cutting out. I also want to point out that my shipment had came a day earlier than expected which was very nice and convenient. Thank you Best Buy; I’ll definitely be back to buy more.

But it doesn't work with AirPods Max's. Bummer. And Best Buy is making it very difficult to return this item so yeah

Not compatible with AirPods Max wired mode
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This cable is for audio output (i.e. iPhone to car Aux input) and not audio input (MacBook -> AirPods Max). The Apple version of this same cable for roughly twice the price contains an Analog to Digital converter. Without this converter, you will not be able to hook up your AirPods Max to your MacBook or iPad and hear lossless audio nor will you be able to connect it to third party devices like a Nintendo Switch.

I tried on multiple output devices and nothing. If you are trying to hardwire the Apple headphones, I would bite the bullet and go for the Apple branded cable.

The cord is very thin compared to a car charger cord so I'm certain with a tug here and tug there and it's going to break, it feels like something you'd buy at the dollar store. I'm happy I can listen to my podcasts in my old Ford Flex now, though, since it doesn't have Bluetooth.
