Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because our TV has only two HDMI ports, and we have a DVR, a Blu-ray player, and a Roku box. We've had HDMI ports go out on several other TVs, so I didn't want to be pushing and pulling out cords. I took another reviewer's suggestion about using the USB port on the back of the TV to power this, and it works great. The lights aren't annoying to me - if they were, I'd use a removable adhesive tape to attach it to the back of the TV. And yeah, it would be nice if this switch had a remote, but getting up and pushing a button is easy enough. This works great and does exactly what it needs to do: switch between our different devices.
