I connect this to my laptop and my desktop so I can use my larger monitor with my laptop when I need it and quickly switch back to my desktop as soon as I am done.

Only to discover, that I couldn't pair some of my remotes unless they were Bluetooth, instead of infrared.

Now I am able to switch between Roku, Wii and the DVD player. You do have to get up to switch between units.
